My First car. and i love it so much. Performance & Driving Dynamics: The LXi variant might lack the \"bling,\" but it doesn't compromise on the driving experience you love. The Engine: At 8,000 km, the 1.2L engine (whether the K-Series or the newer Z-Series 3-cylinder) has likely become smoother. You’ve probably noticed that it feels \"peppy\" in the 2nd and 3rd gears, making it a king for city overtakes.Gearbox & Clutch: The manual 5-speed transmission in the LXi is known for short, crisp throws. By now, the clutch should feel light and effortless, which is a lifesaver in heavy traffic.Handling: This is why you love the car. Even the base variant has that \"Go-Kart\" feel. It stays planted around corners, and the steering is light enough for parking but weighs up decently as you hit 80 km/h. Fuel Efficiency (The \"Kitna Deti Hai\" Factor)After 8,000 km, your engine's friction has reduced, and you’re likely seeing the best mileage figures now.City: You should be getting anywhere between 16–18 km/l.Highway: If driven at a steady 80–90 km/h, the Swift easily crosses 22–24 km/l.Observation: The LXi is the lightest variant in the lineup, which actually gives you a slight edge in fuel economy compared to the feature-heavy top models.🛠️ Ownership & Maintenance Service Experience: You’ve likely completed your 1st and 2nd free services (1,000 km and 5,000 km). The bill was probably next to nothing—one of the biggest perks of the LXi.Build Quality: At 8,000 km, keep an ear out for \"Maruti Rattles.\" Check the door pads and the parcel tray (if you added one) for minor squeaks.Tires: The LXi comes with 14-inch steel rims. They offer a softer ride over potholes compared to the 15-inch alloys on higher trims, though they look a bit basic. Pros & Cons (The Reality Check)ProsConsHigh Resale Value: Swifts hold their value better than almost any car in India.Thin Sheet Metal: You have to be careful; even a small cycle nudge can cause a dent.AC Performance: Even in the LXi, the AC is a chiller and cools the cabin rapidly.Basic Safety: While it has 6 airbags (in newer models), the overall \"thud\" feel is missing.Modification Potential: Since it's an LXi, you have a blank canvas to add the alloys or touchscreen of your choice.Narrow Tyres: The 165-section tyres can feel a bit \"floaty\" at high speeds (100+ km/h).

Perfect First Car.. I have driven the new Swift for a year now (10000km covered). Absolutely no technical snags or issues. 3 cylinder engine gives great torque, at the same time great mileage. Interior quality is pretty good and the car is worth the price for the exceptional Maruti Suzuki reliability it offers. Definitely, recommended as a first car or also as a peppy city car to navigate around in traffic.

Living with the Swift: Practical, Fun, and Fuel-Efficient. Maruti Suzuki Swift: Real-World Experience After 500 Kilometers After completing 500 kilometers behind the wheel of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift ZXi, I can confidently say this hatchback continues to live up to its reputation as India's most beloved compact car. Here's my detailed assessment covering every aspect that matters to potential buyers. First Impressions and Build Quality The fourth-generation Swift maintains its distinctive design language while appearing more mature than its predecessor. The exterior styling strikes a perfect balance between sporty appeal and sophisticated elegance, though some may find the design polarizing. The build quality feels solid for its price segment, with panel gaps that are acceptable and a finish that doesn't scream premium but gets the job done reliably. Engine Performance and Drivability The new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine producing 81 BHP and 112 Nm feels perfectly adequate for city driving. While it's 8 BHP less powerful than the outgoing 4-cylinder unit, the difference is hardly noticeable in daily use. The engine delivers smooth, linear power with a distinctive three-cylinder thrum that actually sounds quite sporty and engaging. During my 500-kilometer test period, the Swift excelled in urban environments where its light controls, compact dimensions, and responsive nature make it genuinely enjoyable to drive. Highway performance is competent for cruising, though overtaking requires dropping a gear and planning ahead. The engine feels most comfortable between 2,000-3,000 RPM, delivering adequate punch for most driving scenarios. Transmission and Handling The 5-speed manual transmission deserves special praise - it's incredibly slick with short, precise throws that make gear changes a genuine pleasure. The clutch is light and progressive, though I found the dead pedal positioned too close to the clutch, causing occasional interference during stop-go traffic. Handling characteristics remain one of Swift's strongest suits. The steering is perfectly weighted with good feedback, making the car feel nimble and confidence-inspiring through corners. Body roll is well-controlled, and the overall driving dynamics feel sharp and engaging. The turning radius is impressively tight, making parking and U-turns effortless. Fuel Efficiency Real-world fuel efficiency averaged between 15-16 km/l during my mixed driving conditions, which included city traffic, highway cruising, and spirited driving. While this falls short of Maruti's claimed 24.8 km/l for the manual variant, it's competitive for the segment. Conservative highway driving easily pushed efficiency beyond 18 km/l, and I'm confident the car could achieve 20+ km/l with extremely careful driving. Ride Quality and Comfort The Swift's suspension tuning prioritizes handling over outright comfort. At low speeds, the ride can feel slightly jiggly over broken surfaces, but it improves significantly as speeds increase. Highway cruising at 100-120 km/h feels stable and composed, though some road noise does filter through. Front seats offer good support and comfort for extended driving, with excellent ergonomics that allow quick familiarization with all controls. Rear passenger space is adequate for shorter journeys, though taller passengers might find under-thigh support lacking. The black interior theme, while stylish, can feel slightly claustrophobic due to the relatively small glass area. Features and Technology The Swift comes well-equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system response is adequate, though not the snappiest in the segment. Other notable features include automatic LED headlamps, cruise control, rear AC vents, wireless charging, and climate control with physical buttons that feel substantial. Storage spaces are thoughtfully distributed throughout the cabin, with adequately sized door pockets, cup holders, and a wireless charging pad. The 265-liter boot is sufficient for daily needs, though it's slightly smaller than the outgoing model. Safety and Build Quality The Swift comes standard with 6 airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, and other essential safety features. However, its recent 1-star Global NCAP rating raises concerns about structural integrity compared to some competitors. The 163mm ground clearance is adequate for Indian road conditions, though not exceptional. Ownership Experience Maruti's extensive service network and reputation for hassle-free ownership remain the Swift's strongest selling points. Maintenance costs are reasonable, parts availability is excellent, and resale values traditionally remain strong. During my 500-kilometer experience, the car demonstrated excellent reliability with no mechanical issues whatsoever. Value Proposition At prices ranging from ₹6.49 to ₹9.65 lakh (ex-showroom), the Swift sits uncomfortably close to the more spacious and premium Baleno. However, it offers superior driving dynamics and a more engaging character that justifies the overlap for enthusiasts. Final Verdict After 500 kilometers, the Maruti Suzuki Swift proves it remains a compelling choice for buyers prioritizing driving enjoyment, fuel efficiency, and reliable ownership. While it's not the most powerful or spacious hatchback available, its combination of engaging dynamics, proven reliability, and strong resale value makes it a sensible choice for urban Indian driving conditions. The Swift isn't perfect - it could use better ride quality, more rear space, and premium interior materials. However, for buyers seeking an affordable, fun-to-drive hatchback with excellent fuel economy and Maruti's unmatched service support, the Swift continues to deliver exactly what it promises. Rating: 8/10 Pros: Engaging driving dynamics, excellent manual transmission, good fuel efficiency, reliable ownership, strong resale value Cons: Average ride quality at low speeds, limited rear space, interior plastic quality, recent safety rating concerns

Premium Features aur Behtarin Mileage ka Perfect Combo. Buying Experience: Maine Maruti Swift ka top-model ZXi Plus Petrol Manual haal hi mein kharida hai. Iska sporty look aur naya design sarak par sabka dhayan kheencha leta hai. Delivery ka anubhav behtarin raha. Engine & Performance: Is naye Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine ki smoothness kaafi acchi hai. City mein chalane ke liye manual gearbox bahut light hai aur clutch bilkul makkhan jaisa kaam karta hai. Comfort & Features: ZXi Plus hone ki wajah se ismein bada touchscreen infotainment, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, aur automatic climate control jaise premium features milte hain. Seats ka comfort pehle se behtar hai, aur cabin mein space bhi accha hai. Safety: Is baar Maruti ne naye model mein 6 Airbags standard diye hain, jo safety ke lihaj se ek bahut bada upgrade hai. Cons (Kuch Kamiya): Halanki engine bahut efficient hai, par purane 4-cylinder engine ke mukable high speed par thodi noise (cabin vibration) feel hoti hai. Saath hi, boot space thoda aur bada ho sakta tha. Verdict: Agar aapko ek aisi car chahiye jo premium dikhe, chalane mein aasan ho, aur jiska mileage kamaal ka ho, toh Swift ZXi Plus Manual ek solid choice hai.

Family car. I recently bought the new Maruti Suzuki Swift LXi 2025, and after spending some weeks with it, I can say it is a very practical and reliable hatchback. The on-road price came to around ₹7.3–7.6 lakh, which felt reasonable for the features and brand trust Maruti offers. The 1.2L Z-series 3-cylinder petrol engine performs well in the city, with light steering and nimble handling that makes traffic driving easy. Mileage has been impressive too — around 17–18 kmpl in the city and over 22 kmpl on highways, which really helps keep running costs low. One major highlight is that Maruti now offers 6 airbags as standard even in the base LXi variant, along with ABS, EBD, ESP, hill-hold assist, and parking sensors. This definitely improves confidence while driving. That said, being the base model, it misses features like a music system, power-folding mirrors, and push-button start. Rear seat space is a bit tight for three adults, and the engine has mild vibrations at idle. Still, for small families and daily commuters, the Maruti Suzuki Swift LXi offers great mileage, low maintenance, and stylish looks — making it a value-for-money choice.

Best Family Hatchback. Buying experience of Maruti Swift is generally great. The fast and delivery process is really good. Driving experience of Maruti Swift is really easy to drive in city with its great manual transmission and clutch feels very light. The car's dynamics making it fun to drive. The Maruti Swift design is very sleek, simple and sporty that appeals to many buyers to purchase the car. Performance is absolutely great in both and city and highways with responsive engine. It provides great fuel efficiency too. Maintenance and servicing costs are relatively low with affordable servicing charges and that's it considers as a great reliable car. The new 3 cylinder petrol engine designed is very fuel efficient making it cost effective of city driving conditions. This Maruti Suzuki Swift VXi model offers great value for money and making it best model to buy of Maruti Swift. The 5 speed manual transmission is very slick with short throws making it joy to use and it feels better than AMT,gearbox which feels jerky. Absolutely brilliant 5 speed manual transmission Maruti Suzuki Swift VXi 5 manual transmission gives great drivability, light controls, great handling and performance which gives makes fun to drive in both city and highways. This model includes safety features such as 6 airbags, 3 point seat belts, traction control, hill hold assist, ABS+EBD, ISOFIX child mount seats etc.Maruti's widespread service network, excellent after sales support making it best value for money product.Smart-looking interior with a good-looking dashboard and fine ergonomics. But black interiors with small glass area at the rear seats which feels claustrophobic. The new 3 cylinder petrol engine feels vibrate and noisy than previous 4 cylinder petrol engine. The 5 speed AMT gearbox transmission feels jerky and slow especially on the highways and it feels too much noisy than manual transmission. The interior quality is good but materials used in dashboard with hard plastics making not feels very premium than the Tata Altroz, Tiago and Hyundai i20.It feels very light on higher speeds while driving on the highways making it unstable with 850 kgs of kerb weight. It also gets noisy and feels vibrations at higher speeds.Maruti Swift 163 mm ground clearance is not good for Indian roads to scrape speed breakers. The rear seat space can be a bit cramped for taller people and thigh support is also not good.

Driving experience is awesome. The buying experience is very good. My car is a 2021 model Swift VXI Petrol. Driving experience is also awesome, a few times, we feel that more power is required, but overall experience is very good. I think that looks are subjective, but the Maruti Swift is an awesome-looking car. Most important thing that there is zero maintenance cost, and the servicing is also done for very little money, under 4000 to 5000, and the part availability of Maruti and Service Centre all over India is fantastic. Pros- Low maintenance cost, Part availability, Multiple Service Centres, and everywhere a mechanic for a Maruti car is also available. Cons: Safety issues, Required More Power

Maruti Suzuki Swift choice for city drives - stylish, reliable and economical. Buying the Maruti Suzuki Swift VXi (O) AMT was a smooth and satisfying experience, thanks to transparent pricing and timely delivery. Driving it daily in city traffic has been effortless with the AMT, and highway trips feel equally comfortable. The sporty design, floating roof, and sharp headlights give it a premium appeal, while the 1.2L petrol engine ensures smooth performance with excellent mileage (around 16–17 km/l in city, 20+ km/l on highways). Servicing and maintenance have been stress-free so far, with affordable costs and Maruti’s wide service network making ownership convenient. The seats are comfortable, the cabin feels airy, and features like ABS, dual airbags, and infotainment keep both safety and entertainment covered. The Stylish looks, fuel efficiency, smooth AMT, low running costs, and trusted service. The only con is rear seat space could be better for taller passengers. Maintenance tip: Stick to timely servicing, maintain correct tyre pressure, and use smooth gear transitions for better AMT longevity.

Segment BEAST!!. I've been the proud owner of a Swift 2022 for years now, and it's been quite the experience. Here's my detailed ownership review: Pros : **Design & Build**: The Swift's design is sleek and modern, with its compact size making it perfect for city driving. The build quality feels sturdy, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. **Performance**: the Swift packs a punch when it comes to performance. The engine is responsive, the 3rd gear pull gives a rocket launch experience.,highway experiences are spectacular, it's easy to drive in traffic and the car is stable and supportive when we take gaps and overtakes. **Fuel Efficiency**: One of the standout features of the Swift is its impressive fuel efficiency. Whether I'm running errands around town or taking a road trip, I'm always pleasantly surprised by how far I can go on a single tank of gas. **Comfort & Convenience**: The interior of the Swift is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of legroom for both the driver and passengers. The seats are comfortable, even on longer journeys, and the cabin is well-insulated from outside noise. The infotainment system is easy to use, and I appreciate the inclusion of features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. **Reliability**: So far, my experience with Swift,I haven't encountered any major issues or breakdowns. Suzuki has a reputation for building durable cars, and the Swift is awesome in reliability Cons : * they could have improved the build quality *they could have added wireless connectivity *they could have added rear AC vents and front armrests. **Overall Impressions**: the Swift 2022 is a fantastic choice for anyone in the market for a reliable, fuel-efficient, and fun-to-drive compact car. Whether you're a city dweller looking for a practical daily driver or a road trip enthusiast seeking adventure, the Swift delivers on all fronts. Overall swift is the segment killer forever

Honestly, people judging the Z12 engine too quickly should drive it for at least 100 km. It’s not as good as the K12, but definitely better than most 3-cylinders out there. Steering and high-speed stability are impressive, suspension is decent, and 6 airbags are a big plus! The only downsides are the weak LED headlamps and average interior plastics. Still, a great-looking and practical family car for Indian roads.

Swift’s compact size. The 1.2L petrol engine delivers zippy performance, especially in city traffic. Good But Not For Safety. Gaadi overall acchi aati hai par thodi safety ki dikkat hai or niche bhi aati h thodi. Air bag bhi kam hai. Comfort bhi nahi hai ettna. New gaadi mai thoda mileage nahi deti, baad mai dhere dhere dene lag jati hai. Mileage, Boot space bhi acha hai. Lambe time chalti hai or maintenance bhi kam aata hai. Iss liye mai swift ko suggest karunga, middle class walo ko lene ke liye.

I personally think this just might just be the end of a massive brand of Maruti Swift which perhaps started in 2005. 4 Gen which is great. But Swift has always been positioned as a sports car which had good power but since they have made it 3 cylinders it might just leave it at the fag end of it's product lifecycle. Shape is subjective but it isn't one of the best I think. Good to see Maruti a company which believes in cutting costs is giving 6 Airbags as standard with even the base variant though

After a year of using the new Swift in its AGS avatar, I must disagree on the following 1) that the touchscreen creates a bit of a hindrance in forward visibility 2) The sound system is not up to the mark. In my view, sound quality and feel is a subjective matter, but if it is properly tuned, the OEM system is a decent bang for the buck. Dont expect Burmester like sound in a conventional budget car. It is a good cheerful hatchback with excellent fuel economy and "adequate" performance. Two 6 footers can sit behind each other without any issue. The boot can accommodate a couple of large bags and a rucksack. 6 airbags and ESP as standard. Cant complain much !!

Standard and Value for Money. Nice choice for middle class family value for money, cost efficient with good mileage. Go for it. I have been using the Maruti Suzuki Swift for some time now, and my overall experience with the car has been very satisfying. What attracted me first was its sporty and stylish design. The car looks modern and compact, which makes it perfect for city driving. The interior is comfortable, and the seats provide good support even during long drives. The dashboard is simple and easy to use, which I really appreciate. While driving, I find the Swift very smooth and responsive. The steering is light, making it easy to handle in traffic and park in tight spaces. The engine performance is reliable, and the car feels stable on highways as well. One of the biggest advantages for me is its excellent mileage, which helps keep fuel expenses low. Maintenance has been affordable, and Maruti Suzuki’s service centers are easily available, which gives me peace of mind. Safety features such as airbags, ABS with EBD, and parking sensors make me feel secure while driving. Overall, I am happy with my Swift and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, economical, and dependable hatchback.

Indian Mini Cooper - SWIFT. I have not purchased the car yet. Have driven it to look at the performance and styling. Though it was 3 3-cylinder engine, I did not feel any lag in performance. Nicely tweaked and good performance along with better mileage. No/Less cabin noise, gear shifting is smooth. Though it has 15\" alloy wheels, it does the job well on Indian roads. Looking stylish exterior when compared to previous generation Swifts. Pros: - Stylish, attractive even without accessories, loaded with safety features, powerful and mileage-able engine, Good Interior and comfortable seats, Weight of the car has been increased for better quality. Cons:- 16\" alloys would have been provided, the Interior colour theme would have been changed to dual tone, shark fin antenna would have been provided.

Owner made a great decision. Swift mein jo elegance hai woh sabko samajh nahi aayegi. Baleno/Fronx and other cars of today's time have a bloated look. Spending 1-2 lakh more for a complete package is worth it, especially if he keeps it for 10+ years, unlike a lot of stupid buyers who buy cars for 5 years.
