Best Family Car in the MUV Segment. I have driven my new XUV 7XOT 13500 Km now. So, based on that experience, I am giving my review. First of all, I am writing the Pros. The car is Great in looks, loved the interior, Full of features, and fun to drive as its handling is very smooth. I have driven long trips of 4000+ Kms with it, and my whole family enjoyed the ride quality. I also do solo up-and-down trips daily from my office to home, which is 70km round trip. I every day get mileage of 16-18 km/ lt. Cons- 1. Its Adrenox is hackable. 2. Features are good, but some time Info system malfunctions automatically. 3. Sensors don't work properly. 4. Mahindra should also focus more on its service centres and the quality of service.

Best suv. XUV is really good getting an mileage of 11.6 to 12 kmpl in city traffic and 13.5 kmpl in the highway. Good suspension ride quality only disadvantage i felt was service cost and maintenance is bit high and if there is any kind of sensor issues then it will be bit problem apart from that it’s an good SUV compared to Innova Crysta. Completed 3rd service and 20000 kms so it’s good SUV.

Bold and secure. Buying experience was smooth with decent delivery time, though dealership follow-up could be better. The XUV 7XO AX7 feels solid and confident on the road. Ride quality is comfortable in the city and on highways, steering is stable, and safety features inspire confidence. Engine performance is adequate, not sporty, but refined. Mileage is average for the segment. Interior quality is good, but some plastic bits feel cheap. Service costs are reasonable so far. Regular servicing, correct tyre pressure, and timely oil changes are a must to keep it reliable.

One of the best machine from Mahindra. I have owned the car since 1 month and have driven around 2000 km. My honest opinion is that the suspension is the best in the segment even better than most 60 lakh cars. I have did a long drive of 1500 kms to kerala during the weekend, and i didn't even feel a bit tired. That is the level of comfort the car offers on highways. I seriously love the car.

The New Benchmark for Tech-Loaded, Safety-First Family SUVs. The Mahindra XUV 7XO (a facelifted version of the XUV700) is a well-regarded SUV praised by users and experts for its strong performance, extensive high-tech features, and robust safety rating. Reviewers highlight its premium interior and comfortable ride, though some minor concerns about suspension noise over rough patches have been noted for the previous model. I am using xuv700 but this xuv7xo amazing car awesome features and I like that triple screen and 16 music speakers because I like songs and that new features light Music-synchronised interior & exterior lighting V Dynamic light choreography 16-Speaker Harman Kardon Audio System

Where Power Meets Premium. The Mahindra XUV 7XO feels like a strong upgrade in the SUV segment, offering a bold design, powerful engine options, and a premium cabin experience. The ride quality is comfortable on highways as well as rough roads, while the features and safety tech make it a great value-for-money car for Indian families.

Good vale car. Looks nice, but the old model looks more catchy, but the new suspension like something good that's not in last, but sometimes more in technical issues in new model due to many screens, and service centre ego itis all over in India, Mahindra could resolve it Asap

Bad Suspension and Mileage. I have been using the Mahindra XUV 7XO for the last 7–8 months. I was probably among the first customers to get delivery from my showroom because I had pre-booked it before Christmas. Overall, I like the car. The triple-screen setup is one of its best features. My daughter watches cartoons on the passenger screen without distracting me, while I use the driver's display and the centre screen for navigation. It works really well for family trips. However, there are two major issues that prospective buyers should know about: 1. Suspension: The \"Da Vinci\" suspension, which Mahindra heavily promotes, has been disappointing. The car tends to wobble over even small bumps on the road. Sometimes the car wobbles even when there is no visible bump. It affects ride confidence more than I expected. 2. Mileage: The fuel economy is poor in Bangalore traffic. I consistently get less than 5 km/l. I suspect it can drop below 3 km/l in heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic, but the car's displayed mileage never shows anything below 5 km/l. Apart from these two issues, I am generally satisfied with the vehicle. The triple-screen setup is genuinely useful for families, and I enjoy driving the car otherwise. If Mahindra could improve the suspension tuning and fuel efficiency, it would be an excellent family SUV.

7XO ON FIRE. The engine performance is strong, with smooth pickup and impressive power on highways. Overtaking is effortless, and the high-speed stability is excellent, giving a confident feel through the steering. In city traffic, it can feel a bit bulky at first, but you get used to it quickly. The interior is the biggest highlight—featuring a triple-screen setup, premium finish, and advanced tech that gives it a luxury-segment vibe. Features like ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and ADAS make long drives more comfortable and safe The suspension is well-balanced for Indian roads, handling bumps with ease. Braking feels solid and reliable. Mileage is average, but justified considering the performance. Overall, if you want a stylish, powerful, and feature-loaded SUV, this is a complete “value + luxury” package.

This car have some builder look. I’ve driven my Mahindra 7XO manual for under so far, and the experience has been quite satisfying. The engine feels smooth for a new car, and the manual gearbox is easy to use in city traffic. The ride quality is comfortable, and the car feels stable on the road, even at slightly higher speeds. Mileage is decent for a new engine and should improve after the first service. Overall, it feels like a practical, safe, and well-built car

The Beast with Beauty. Ruby Velvet is color which caught eye, but is hard to maintain. The car is super nice, comfortable, driving handling, and long journeys are pleasurable. Mostly Highway driven at that time. Mileage is 14 KMPL, but when you drive in the city, it comes down to 5.

Harpreetsgarage, MaddyRider, Venaom's tech and many other youtube channels and 5 in my own personal circle I know who have faced massive manufacturing issues with their cars be it scorpio N or xuv or Thar and all top or second top models, and the pathetic response from dealership and service center. Mahindra doesn't treat their employees right nor their tech is reliable or advanced enough to be as reliable as other foreign brands be KIA or Volkswagen or Skoda. And then their service center is a nightmare as well.

Stylish, Comfortable and Fun to Drive. I purchased the Mahindra XUV 7XO recently and I’m very happy with the overall experience. The buying process was smooth and the dealership staff was helpful. The car looks very stylish and muscular on the road. The engine performance is excellent with smooth acceleration, and the ride quality is comfortable even on bad roads. The interiors feel premium with good space and modern features. Steering is light, handling is confident, and mileage is decent for city and highway driving. Overall, it’s a great value-for-money SUV with Mahindra’s reliability.

CarWale owner reviewsJanuary 2026

Worst interior total touch based. The Mahindra XUV 7XO might look modern at first glance, but honestly, it's one of the worst-designed SUVs on the market right now. The exterior styling feels confused and awkward rather than stylish, with proportions that don’t quite work. Inside, the cabin tries too hard to be futuristic but ends up feeling cluttered and poorly thought out. The much-touted triple 12.3-inch touchscreen setup is overkill and detracts from usability; essential functions like climate controls being buried in touch menus is impractical and unsafe while driving. The interior quality doesn’t match the price point either. Cheap-looking plastic trims, mismatched colours, and a bizarre steering wheel design make the cabin feel less premium and more like a tech demo gone wrong. Touchscreens lag and the user interface is not intuitive, giving a frustrating experience rather than the seamless digital feel Mahindra promised. Overall, the 7XO tries to impress with screens and touch interfaces, but the poor design execution and lack of practical physical controls make it one of the worst interiors in its class.

Best car on this price. The SUV 7XO is a stylish and modern compact SUV that offers a good balance of power, comfort, and technology. Its bold front design, sharp headlights, and sporty body give it a strong road presence. The interior feels premium with a well-designed dashboard, digital display, and comfortable seats, making long drives enjoyable. The engine performance is smooth and responsive, suitable for both city driving and highways. Suspension quality is good, so bumps and rough roads are handled well. The SUV 7XO also comes with advanced safety features like airbags, ABS, parking sensors, and driver assistance options, which increase confidence while driving. Mileage is decent for an SUV in this segment. Overall, the SUV 7XO is a great choice for families and young buyers who want style, safety, and performance at a reasonable price.

Fast and Furious. First Impressions and Design: The first thing that stood out to me was the design. It’s clean, not overly aggressive, and doesn’t try too hard to look premium—but still manages to feel well put together. The finishing is neat, panel gaps are consistent, and even after regular use, it holds up well without those annoying rattling sounds that you sometimes notice in this segment. Even small things like the placement of controls, the grip of switches, and the way everything is laid out—it just feels intuitive. You don’t have to “learn” the vehicle; it just comes naturally. Engine / Performance: Coming to performance, it’s not built for racing, but that’s not the point. The power delivery is smooth and predictable. In city traffic, it feels very comfortable. Acceleration is linear, and you don’t feel sudden jerks, which actually makes daily riding much more relaxed. On open roads, it can hold decent speeds without feeling stressed. It’s stable enough, and you don’t get that “light” feeling even when you push it a bit. Mileage (Fuel Efficiency): Mileage is honestly one of the biggest positives for me. In regular city usage, I’m getting pretty consistent numbers, which makes it very practical for daily commuting. City: Good and stable mileage. Highway: Slightly better if you maintain a steady speed. It’s not just about numbers—the real benefit is you don’t have to constantly think about fuel stops, which adds a lot of convenience. Comfort & Ride Quality. This is where the 7XO really shines. The seating is comfortable enough for long rides, and the cushioning doesn’t feel too soft or too hard—it’s balanced. Even after riding for longer durations, you don’t feel excessive fatigue. The suspension setup does a good job of handling bad roads. Speed breakers, potholes—most of them are absorbed well. Of course, really rough patches will still be felt, but that’s expected. Good posture while riding. Minimal strain on the back and shoulders. Suitable for both short and longer rides. Brakes & Safety: Braking performance is confidence-inspiring. The brakes respond well without being too sharp or too dull—it’s progressive, which is what you want in daily use. Even in sudden braking situations, the control feels stable. There’s no major wobbling or loss of balance, which gives you that extra confidence in traffic. Handling & Control: Handling is light and easy, especially in city conditions. You can manoeuvre through traffic without much effort, and U-turns or tight spaces don’t feel like a struggle. At the same time, it doesn’t feel too light, so at higher speeds, it still remains stable. Features & Practicality: What I appreciate most is that it focuses on useful features rather than unnecessary gimmicks. Everything you need is there Nothing feels overly complicated. Easy to use in daily life. Storage, usability, and overall practicality are well thought out. It’s clearly designed keeping real users in mind. Minor Downsides. To keep it real, there are a few small areas where improvement could help: Could use slightly better refinement in certain parts. A bit more premium feel in some components would elevate the experience. Not for someone looking for aggressive performance. But honestly, these are minor things and don’t affect everyday usage much. Final Verdict: After using the 7XO regularly, I can say this: it's not trying to impress you in one ride. Instead, it wins you over slowly with reliability, comfort, and practicality. It’s the kind of vehicle that fits into your daily life so smoothly that you stop thinking about it—and that’s actually a good thing. If I had to sum it up: It’s dependable, comfortable, efficient, and built with a clear purpose—not hype. And for daily use, that matters more than anything else.

The best car and nice experience in driving.. The Mahindra XUV7XO is a stylish and feature-rich SUV that offers a strong combination of performance, comfort, and advanced technology. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options, delivering smooth acceleration and excellent driving performance. The spacious cabin provides comfortable seating for up to seven passengers, making it ideal for families and long journeys. Premium features such as dual digital screens, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, connected car technology, and an advanced infotainment system enhance the overall driving experience. Safety is one of its biggest strengths, with multiple airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, ADAS features, and a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. The suspension handles rough roads well, ensuring a comfortable ride. Although the third-row seating is best suited for children and the infotainment system may occasionally experience minor software glitches, these drawbacks are relatively small. Overall, the Mahindra XUV700 offers excellent value for money with its attractive design, powerful performance, modern features, and high safety standards. It is a great choice for buyers looking for a premium SUV that balances luxury, practicality, and affordability.

I have XUV700.. Diesel, Manual car.. Completed 32000Kms.. Pros: 1) Average (Getting 20kmpl on highway if you drive below 100kmph) 2) Ride Quality is just amazing for long highway drives 3) Handling is spot on.. 4) Breaks are too good.. 5) Clutch is light. 6) Torque is amazing. Steep hills are now a relaxing experience.. 7) Headlights are very good. 8) Car is easy to drive and judge, just like Innova. Cons: 1) Looks - Still didn't like the front look of the car. 2) Wind and Tire noise inside the car if you drive above 90kmph. 3) Paint quality could have been better.

15K done on ax7l diesel automatic. bought 6 months ago. Positives: Power, handling, mileage, comfort, zero fatigue in long runs, road presence, suspension Negatives: obvious cost cutting in sound insulation, poor quality IRVM, average camera, average sound system, average sales and poor customer service experience (tier 2 city). I don't regret buying since no car is perfect and the postives easily outhsine the negatives. Hopefully facelift addresses a few of these negatives.

Very good looking car good to drive. The XUV7XO truly impressed me with how complete and premium it feels as an SUV. From the moment I experienced it, the first thing that stood out was the bold and modern design. It has a strong road presence, and the styling feels both sporty and sophisticated. The interior quality is excellent, with well-finished materials and a layout that feels intuitive and driver-focused. The seats are extremely comfortable, making long journeys feel effortless, and there is plenty of space for both passengers and luggage. What I really appreciated about the XUV7XO is how smooth and confident it feels on the road. The engine performance is refined and responsive, delivering power effortlessly while still feeling controlled and stable. The ride quality is impressive, absorbing bumps easily and providing a very comfortable driving experience even on uneven roads. The steering feels light yet precise, making city driving and highway cruising equally enjoyable. The technology and features are another strong highlight. The infotainment system is sharp, responsive, and packed with useful functions, while the digital displays add a very modern touch. Safety features are comprehensive and reassuring, giving a strong sense of confidence. Overall, the XUV7XO feels like a well-engineered, reliable, and premium SUV that offers outstanding value and an enjoyable driving experience.

I agree with you in whatever pros and cons you told. I own Xuv700 for more than 1.5 years drove around 30,000 kms But i would like to add two more cons which i think are quite annoying over time 1. Co- Passenger doesn't have height adjustment which makes them sit at a higher height which doesn't feel good when you are on highway driving at good speeds 2. Suspension noise is too much, mahindra didn't do anything to lower it

Such an amazing experience with this beast SUV its performance and comfort is mind blowing but one of one con of this SUV is about its poor mileage the car never disappoint us when we take this beast on a road trip it is never complaining about its performance and ride quality but the poor mileage has become the prominent factor.
