The perfect balance of style, features and practicality for Indian families!!!. I purchased the Kia Sonet HTK Optional after comparing several cars in this segment, and it has turned out to be one of my best decisions. The buying experience was smooth, and the dealership staff explained all the features and variants clearly, which made the selection process easy. The first thing that impressed me was the road presence. The Sonet looks premium and sporty, and many people still ask if it's a higher variant. The LED DRLs, alloy wheels, and overall design make it stand out on the road. The cabin feels modern, and the fit and finish are surprisingly good for this price range. Driving in city traffic is effortless due to its compact dimensions, while highway drives feel stable and confidence-inspiring. The suspension is well balanced and handles bad roads comfortably without making passengers feel uneasy. The engine performance is smooth and refined, and the steering is light for city use while offering good confidence at higher speeds. What I particularly like is that the HTK Optional variant offers excellent value for money. It gives most of the practical features that families need without stretching the budget to higher variants. The rear seat comfort, boot space, and infotainment system are all adequate for daily commuting and weekend trips. Service costs have been reasonable so far, and Kia's service network has been satisfactory. Pros: Premium looks, feature-rich package, comfortable ride quality, practical cabin space, easy city driving, good value for money. Cons: Rear visibility could have been slightly better, and some premium features are reserved for higher variants.

Best in price range. The Kia Sonet is one of the most popular compact SUVs in India. It is known for its stylish design, modern features, and comfortable driving experience. The front grille, sharp LED headlights, and sporty look make the Sonet attractive on the road. Inside the cabin, the car offers a premium feel with good-quality materials and a well-designed dashboard. The Sonet comes with multiple engine options, including petrol and diesel, giving buyers flexibility based on their needs. It delivers good performance and smooth handling, making it suitable for both city driving and highway trips. The compact size also makes it easy to drive in crowded streets and park in small spaces. Another strong point of the Sonet is its technology and safety features. It offers a touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, and several safety features like airbags and ABS. The boot space is decent for a compact SUV, which makes it practical for daily use and short trips. Overall, the Kia Sonet is a stylish, feature-packed, and reliable SUV that offers great value for money in its segment.

Not Too Impressed. After having a Maruti 800, Alto, and i10 Nios, getting the Sonet GTX Turbo was the SUV dream. After driving it for 4000kms now, I can say not too impressed. The car is too big for a small engine, and you often feel the struggle of the engine before 2k rpm. Too much rattling noise when compared to the Hyundais. Looks premium but has cheap materials underneath.

Feature wise good. The Kia Sonet is a compact SUV that impresses on multiple fronts. Its bold exterior design turns heads, boasting sleek lines and striking details. Inside, the Sonet offers a premium cabin with high-quality materials and ample space for passengers and cargo alike. Performance-wise, the Sonet delivers with its range of engines, including efficient petrol and diesel options, along with smooth transmission choices. It handles urban streets and highways with ease, offering a comfortable ride and confident handling. Technology is another strong suit of the Sonet, featuring a user-friendly infotainment system with smartphone integration, as well as advanced safety features like multiple airbags, ABS, and stability control. Furthermore, Kia's reputation for reliability and excellent warranty coverage adds peace of mind to the ownership experience. Overall, the Kia Sonet stands out in the crowded compact SUV segment, offering a winning combination of style, performance, technology, and value.

Kia Sonet. This is my very first car, and I must say, it’s been a delight so far. From the outside, it looks stunning, and from the inside, it feels even more premium—almost like being in a luxury car. The finishing, feel, touch, and overall comfort are excellent. I opted for the HTK optional variant, which comes loaded with features like automatic AC, automatic headlights, foldable ORVMs, a sunroof, rear AC vents, and one-touch automatic window controls (operable both individually and from the driver’s seat). The driving experience is smooth and enjoyable. Yes, you can feel the bumps a bit on potholes if you’re going fast, but overall, the suspension works well. Currently, I’m getting an average of 9–10 km/l, but I have only driven 240 km in the past two months, so I expect it to improve. The handling is excellent, and driving it is genuinely fun. I have already completed the first service, which mainly involved routine checks. My experience with Kia’s service centre was great—they handle everything smoothly, take regular follow-ups, and keep you updated via WhatsApp with details and photos of the work being done. It gives you complete peace of mind without having to put in much effort yourself. Also, boot space is quite good and rear seat comfort is also fine. Safety is also good, 6 airbags, tyre monitoring, front and back parking sensors with a camera. EBD, EBS, front disc and rear drum brakes. Height-adjustable seats with all functionality provided on the car steering. Car steering is also adjustable, but not telescopic.

Written in the first months. It still counts, but it cannot speak to how the car ages.

I think you should give automatic side mirrors. I think you should give automatic side mirrors in a base model like HTK O, and all it takes to adjusting. Sonet is a good car, but I think they should work on the car paint and space. Thankyou.

Why you can check us

Most sites that cite their sources decide what to say first and look for supporting quotes afterwards. We do it the other way round. The 6.0 is calculated from exactly these reviews and exactly these weights, written down before any prose existed, so the list you are reading cannot drift away from the number it produced. The 8 shown here account for 100% of it.
