Persistent Gear Noise and Unresolved Transmission Issues Post-Clutch Repair. I have the iMT variant, and it was fantastic for the first three years. However, after almost four years of driving and nearly 40k km on the odometer, the car has started giving me trouble. The clutch cylinder failed and had to be replaced recently. ​Ever since that repair, the car makes a weird noise in 2nd and 3rd gear. Sometimes it makes a distinct rattling sound when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I’ve taken it to the dealer 3 or 4 times, but they haven't been able to solve the issue. As usual, they just run a diagnostic scan, find no error codes, and do nothing else. I’m still trying to find a solution to get this resolved.

Car is good but after sale service poor. I have purchased a new car and after one it's maintained cost and service were so poor by the dealer that they don't respond when you are get a problem and only money-making basic service is done if you get any kind of problem then they have no solutions like our car get tyre problem then they have no solution and other little problems also have no good dealing with unsatisfactory service.

Infotainment panel started behaving abnormally. In July 2024, I took my Kia Sonet for service. It was perfect, but immediately after the service, the steering wheel and infotainment panel started behaving abnormally. The steering wheel makes a 'gharr' 'gharr' sound when rotating, and the infotainment panel's touch began acting strangely with a beep-beep sound. I immediately called them, and I was told that these issues would be repaired during the next servicing. I had other cars, so I did not face many problems, as these irregularities did not disturb my driving. When I contacted them next time, I was told the warranty period is over and now repairing is chargeable, though it's a manufacturing defect.

Kia Life Saver. Kia gave the best service and after sales, staff was very nice and they gave a good budget breakdown to me. They gave me the best discount details, it was my first car so they gave me alot of good accessories, would recommed you all to choose kia as a good option.

Selling Faulty Vehicles. I want to warn anyone planning to buy a Kia vehicle — please think twice. My own experience has shown that Kia’s after-sales support is nowhere near what they promise. Even with a clear mechanical issue like the reverse gear not engaging, Kia’s authorised service centre kept denying the problem instead of fixing it. They were not ready to provide a written “No Fault Found” letter either, which clearly shows a lack of accountability. If this is how Kia treats customers while the car is still under warranty, future buyers should be prepared for major frustration. Before choosing Kia, potential customers should understand that the brand’s after-sales service may not support you when you face genuine issues — and that reality is far from the so-called “premium experience” advertised in the market.

Bhai, this actuator problem in iMT model is for real and big headache... mine was 2021 HTK Plus iMT model and it ran very well upto 3.5 years and I infact drove around 34000 kms and all of sudden on the highway my gears got locked... Had to apply emergency brakes to stop and then after switching off and on somehow drove my car upto my house in 1st gear at snails speed... When went to KiA initially they said complete TCU needs to be changed and it shall cost you Rs. 1.45 lacs. I told him to comeback with proper diagnosis as no way i am going to spend so much as till now everything looked good and all of sudden can't digest such huge sum... after 2 days he called me and said Rs. 80k tak hoga... i took some time and went to service station and just like you, took my car non repaired. but then he was saying if you are wiiling to spend 40k then kuch kar sakte hey... here more than money whats important is that were they really able to diagnose the issue or not as 1.45 cannot become 40k.... Also checked with some people who said they changed necessary parts yet issue came back after 2 months... Eventually i decided to sell my car at heavy discount and bought a new Maruti Suzuki Car for better reliability.

I'm using a diesel automatic Kia, top-of-the-line previous version. It's been 3 years and 30k KM with zero issues! Kia service is amazing – they really prioritize customer satisfaction. It's such a smooth cruiser; 100-120 km/h is effortless. I've driven 800km and 1200km non-stop in two days! Mileage is around 20-21 on highways and 12-13 in city traffic. Perfect family car if you are 4 people with kids! Boot space is really good too. And it's powerful – 40-100 and 80-120 are super quick! 🤩🚗💨

Maine Kia Sonet HTK Plus Diesel se 23 ka mileage aur 36 hairpin band cross kiya tha, with no issues. At that time, the whicle was fully loaded with 5 people (weighing approximately 450 kg) and their luggage.

I got the same diesel sonet and am now using Indian Oil xtra green diesel; no more DPF issues, even on city rides. As this person explained, the same issues I have encountered so far. My vehicle is also vobling at high speed after replacing tyres; I will change the brakes and rotors soon.

Excellent Driving feel. Bought a Kia 1 month back and driven it 500kms till now, and I must tell you the driving experience is awesome. I have driven 3XO and Nexon, but this one is the most comfortable driving possible. It has a good and unique design that people notice on the street, interior is designed to keep everything sleek and fancy. I don't know why people have problems with the suspension of Sonet. I personally find it very comfortable. Driving AT Diseal didn't give me any power issues, in fact, in sports mode it flies like a rocket. Wireless charging, safety features like auto local unlock as per speed and front back sensors, sunroof, auto stop mode of traffic, let's you have all the premium features at just 13-14 lakhs, which is awesome. My friend has a high model and he is jealous of me. I find it a good buy for a family car
