VW taigun. I have driven this car approximately 30,000 km in NCR. Only two works of their service are very bad. Spare parts are not easily available. Mileage in the city is 10 or 11 km/ litre, and on the highway is it approximate maximum 14 km/ litre Overall, the sitting capacity is good comfort, but at 18 or 19,00,000 spend, I should suggest you go for another brand SUV. VW Service is bad.

Real Customer Honest Review Tested Drive 90000 Km. I got 21+ mileage on highway at 100 speed, total control even the speed at 198, I changed brake shoe at 90,000 km, very comfortable and reliable, very good support from workshops, showroom and company, no issue found with warranty on time, repair very genuine, spare parts, skilled mechanic in workshops and  caring staff.

My NIGHTMARE With The Taigun. Taigun is my 3rd vehicle from VW after a Vento and Polo. I have driven 70K plus KM in the earlier two models and 20K miles in Taigun. I love VW so much that I decided not to dispose the Vento and Polo and i'm still using all three. Cospared to the experience I had with the other two modelse Taigun has not lived up to it. Main reasons being. 1. Low torque or pulling power compared even to Polo. 2. Very low mileage in city. 10 km if trafgic free & 6 to 7 km in case of traffic. 3. My Taigun has just completed 1 year and touching 20 K kilometers. Two days back while driving in the city suddenly the clutch failed in the middle of morning traffic. Expereiencing such failure within one year and less than 20K km is a nightmare. My love for VW has taken a beating. Understand that there have been many complaints of clutch failure in Taigun.

I own the Taigun GT PLUS DSG for the past one year driven 9500 kms .Excellent fun to drive car .cannot expect mileage much but driven at speeds of 70 to 80 in highways the max mileage would be around 18 ,the ac could have been quicker to cool in hot conditions it takes time to cool (places like chennai) Suspension is very stiff small cuts in the road feels like a thud ( this is major let go from VW ) Sometimes the gear shifts in city traffic could be a little confusing but now I have learnt how to avoid this being light on the throttle , issue with wipers the right side wipers shudders in continuous usage never got a solution even changing the wiper blades, dismantling the entire wiper system and inspecting the service centre says all Taiguns the driver side wipers shudders ( poor design) And the screen goes blank sometimes now after switching off and on it comes back Overall enjoyed the driving experience in highways and the compactness in the city to park

Thats way I still love my VW Vento TDI DSG 1.5L City mileage 14-15 kmpl and Highway 24-28 kmpl. Both milage figures are with AC 23C. And this will be my last VW car as new petrol models are makes no sense with low mileage and higher parts price.

Bought Taigun GT 1.5L manual | 40,000km | 13 month | Performance : Good | service is average only not to the expected level | break pad changed at 30,000km. I had problem with the bucket seats, so I replaced all the seats. Other than that no issues I faced.

12:00 My father have Taigun before facelift 1L and is giving in these heat waves in bumper to bumper traffic mileage of 7 and in normal city near 10 in short highway trips have given near 12 but i never saw more but it is a fantastic car only car which my father felt worth to ride after diesel EcoSports below 15-16 lakhs because of the stability and enough pickup

I could purchased it but cost of spares is too high. I having alto 800 (12.5 years) and wagon r (13.5 years) but never need to replace injectors in any of these cars. In fact, In wagon R suspensions are stock. In alto, which covered 1,60,000 km, one time cluch replacement (Rs 12K) and front both side suspension replacement (Rs 5K for both, that too done by third party with original parts I think a skhoda, VW car in average will have a maintance + parts replacement cost of Rs 50K per year kyunki kuch parts replacement honge and that too very very expensive. And buddy believe me my last alto service cost was Rs 5K

AC can be improved via coding.. Injectors are covered under warranty.. You can buy extended warranty.. German cars gives better highway performance and hence parts are still expensive.. If only city usage and mileage then diesel is not good unless DPF regen doesn't happen it will be chocked please do reasearch on this before buying XUV300 diesel.. well i went for the 1.5 engine instead of 1.0 engine.. bought skoda slavia.. AC is good in 1.5 and low end torque is better too.. only in bumper to bumper traffic i get single digit mileage otherwise in non traffic slow city conditions like get double digits mileage.. that time i had option of 1.0 style variant and 1.5 mid variant both prices similarly.. now they have removed the mid 1.5 variants and only give high end variants.. also skoda launched kylaq so because of kylaq sales there service ceners are twice of vw.. maybe after tera launch and 1 year sales vw may increase service centers.. i frequently use redflow fuel injector cleaner and it improves mileage too.. like after every 2 tankfulls..

Taigun- Good Or Best?. Another thing which I really liked is the premium look of the car. The cabin quality, seating comfort and overall fit finish is pretty decent for the segment. Some newer cars may offer more features but they still dont give that mature and solid feel this car gives. Mileage is also decent according to the performance it offers. Maintenance also isn't too bad if the car is maintained. Overall I would rate this car around 4.2 stars because it still manages to offer strong performance, premium looks and decent mileage together even after being an older generation model.

Exterior is nice and Interior. Ok, the good price is very high as compared to other variants, and features are better and mileage is not satisfactory in my opinion and more important things are after-sales service and spare parts.

Fun to Drive, Solid on Highways. I recently drove the Volkswagen Taigun and honestly, the driving experience was really good. The first thing you notice is how stable the car feels, especially at higher speeds. It feels planted on the highway, and you don't get that nervous feeling when overtaking trucks or changing lanes. The steering feels nicely weighted, and the car responds well when you push the accelerator. The turbo petrol engine is quite fun to drive, especially on open roads. It feels like a car made for someone who actually enjoys driving rather than just travelling from one place to another. The suspension is slightly on the firmer side, so you do feel some bumps on bad roads, but the overall ride is comfortable enough. The seats are supportive, and the driving position gives you a good view of the road. The interiors could have been better for the price, especially in terms of some materials and fit and finish. Rear seat space is decent, but it's not the most spacious car in its segment. Also, if you're driving in heavy traffic regularly, the mileage might not impress you much. AC isn’t problem, the biggest issue is mileage. I have taigun automatic and I get 5km/L in city. Highway it goes to 15kmpl. BTW The car is super fun to drive

I think the gear ratio in the manual 6 speed is better, The RPM is my virtus gt line hovers around 2300-2400 at 100 kmph. Gives good mileage on the highway.

This is crab criticism. I own the skoda equivalent Kushaq for the last two and half years. Driven around 30,000/ through out Tamilnadu. Never encountered any problem. Mileage also not bad avrage 18km. Only in city driving it comes down Otheerwise, really a good vehicle. Except routine maintenance, no big repair cost. They collect around Rs. 25000pa for warranty.
