Hello, I'm a new driver and I had been driving my mother's 4th Gen 2016 Honda City MT and this car had been with us for about 9 years. I would like to put my input here and say: The Honda City is fun to drive, absolutely. I feel that if you really look after the car and not just abuse it. Yes, this car has rusting issues and we didn't see any sort of rusting on wheel wells but since it had been sitting for a long time due to less usage, it had water leakage problems and a lot of things were there since it went to local. It was having a heavy steering and it felt rigid driving it. However, Honda fixed it and in spite of it's expensive repair, it was worth it and the fuel economy is definitely not bad, it's pretty nice. The AC is also okay and the steering definitely light, so is the clutch and gear shifting is smooth and nice, although it is slightly hard to shift to 5th, requires effort but overall? The car is amazing, it feels safe and stable. At least for me, the car does not seem to have rattling issues and in spite of being flat for 4-5 years, the engine runs smooth and the car doesn't feel like it's ageing, but again, that's just me. At the end of the day, it's really on how you maintain and look after it, and it has been amazing for my daily commute. Love the video!

Been a Honda City owner for the past 15 years. My earlier City was a 2009 V CVT variant and the ownership experience was so trouble free that I sold off that car in 2021 and bought the 5th Gen ZX CVT variant which has done 58k kms till date without any issues. I've driven fully loaded on all sorts of roads and it has never bottomed out, something that was an issue with my previous City.

Best Car In This Segment. I like honda cars, It is looking awsome. Interior is brilliant, Mielage is ok. But this is more beautiful than verna or virtus. Segment killer. If this car come with diesel engine, it will become most selling car of the year. Disappointment for not launching in diesel engine. 1.5 l petrol engine is also very powerful engine. I like this car more than a verna and virtus or any of  this segment sedan car.

The city manual may be great car - but the CVT is real bad, with poor mileage in city driving conditions..I am getting less than 10 kmpl , I want to ditch this car and buy electric - besides Honda is charging a lot more during servicing, as they are unable to sell many cars in India..I got a bill of Rs.25,000 in my 5th year servicing for Amaze CVT

Hi , I have recently purchased a honda city 4rth Gen manual 2016 The problem is I had earlier 3rd Gen , and the low end pickup is great in that, I mean if I pull from 2md gear below 1000 rpm the engine doesn't struggles much it pulls without hesitation But in my 4rth gen there a struggling sound if just below 1000 rpm even when in first gear , the sound is like Bass hitting the ears loudly , i really dont know if its the nature of the engine or thr tuned is done that way in low end rpm Otherwise the pickup is super solid the cars pulls like crazy when above 1100 rpm. Th only things that keeps me bothering is low end bass sound . The 3rd gen is super smooth in that way it sound make any bass or hesitation sound below 1000 rpm in traffic with 2nd gear the moment in 2nd gear when rpm is just above 1100 rpm its pulls amazing I need to know whether its the behaviour of something wrong?

Have driven 2nd & 3rd gen city . Both were pre-owned cars and have driven over 2lakh kilometers each since buying and the engines go strong till date. Regular maintainance from authorised service center and these cars go miles...Till date it proves to be a dependable family car fit for city and highway use.. Its a great car to buy new or via used car platform for a peaceful ownership for sure

Bro i own Polo 1.2 MPi and never in my life since 2011 i got a single issue from it, no parts changes and only timely service done, i have done 88k km on it and engine is real gem for a MPI, after 2500 rpm it just goes and goes up till 5500 rpm On Paper its 75hp but i have dragged with Baleno petrol (which 88hp) and it lost to my car real bad Point is, VW cars aren't bad to maintainance atleast not in my experience. Also cabin real silent 😊

Notchy gear problem is there even in my Dad's 2019 BRV petrol which has same 1.5 ivtec engine but a different gearbox with 6 forward gears. I thought that the problem was due to replacement of clutch plate in non Honda service center. But the garage owner himself has a petrol WRV and maintains it in his own supervision. Now I know the problem is universal and not with the clutchplate. It has clocked 112000 km. When we changed the clutch plate, the odometer reading was 102000 km.

Engineering Master Piece!. I have been using Honda City from its vtec days. After that I have purchased AT CVT ivtec engine.I will go for eCVT now. I will never come out of the madness of City's performance after driving many other competitors in the same segment. I have an Amaze 1.2 second Gen which I couldn't even compare with City.

Not refined as it's rivals,, what the hell are you talking about,, ivtec - no other car manufacturer can ever make an engine close to ivtec..... It is the smoothest, powerful and most reliable petrol engine ever built.Have you not seen the video where a coin was made to stand on a city's engine with the ignition on. Honda makes finest petrol engines and toyota makes finest diesel engines. City's ivtec can go to 100+ speed in 2nd gear, its a masterpiece

i recently travelled to Raipur for holidays.google suggested different route on return day as i had to one temple at Raigad.this route was mines area full of craters not potholes.had i purchased City instead of Ecosport total vehicle would hv got damaged or stuck in craters..even though its not SUV it managed well as whole day it was raining..totally stable at high speed in rains.Higher ground clearance is need of time not just for show off. unless your ride is only city or god highway dont consider sedans or hatchback. i only see negatives in this car. 1.low ground clearance. 2.high cost of spares and servicing. 3.spares not available outside means you are at mercy of service center diktats. 4.risk of shutting shop anytime 5.Much better SUVs available at same price. im not even questioning quality of engine but sorry SUVs are more practical till roads become better in tier 2-3 cities.

I have a 3rd gen and 4th gen city. Performance is slightly more in the 4th gen as the previous gen is heavy. Pros: performance 🤤, comfort and driving dynamics. Cons in 4th gen : 1.Rattling; it rattles a lot , dashboard, doors. 2. The front bumper clips are trash, the bumper will tend to lose after sometime. 3. Yes, the gearbox is not so smooth as compared to the 3rd gen, it feels kind of cheap. The 3rd gen city gearbox feels much more robust. Another thing , the AC of 3rd gen is better as compared to the 4th gen due to a larger compressor size.

There is a 2014 honda diesel city with 80k on odo for 3 lakh 20 thousands i am confused should i go with petrol engine or diesel ? there is no strict rules for diesel in my area are diesel engine of honda better than petrol ? and is 80k for a 2014 model normal ? or how do i check genuine kilometers run ?

I have cvt city zx bhai best hai car 👌👌 50000 km done koi problem nhi ayi abi tk…now i upgrade tyres 195/55/16 fir aur v mast chlegi…German card se toh achi hai no worry about maintenance services…koi mukabla he nhi iss segments mein city zx ka…akh band krke buy krlo ✔️

New Honda City Look More Premium Then Before.. I really like new facelift design for the honda city. The update front look and LED light make the car look more attractive and modern one the road. The engine is very smooth and refined especially for city drive and long highway trips. Mileage is very decent and look is very sporty. The perfect sedan for this price.
