Good Car. It has strong driving dynamics, a responsive 1.0 TSI engine, good stability, solid build quality, and comfortable ergonomics. The main drawbacks are the relatively basic Comfortline feature list and somewhat firm low-speed ride.

Best car and comfortable seat. The Volkswagen Taigun is a stylish, 5-star safety-rated compact SUV celebrated for its razor-sharp driving dynamics, high-speed stability, and solid German build quality. However, it has a stiffer suspension at low speeds and a narrower cabin than rivals like the Hyundai.

After useing Taigun GT plus sports for 2 months my observations 1. Rideing Quality is amazing that you dont regret spending this much on this car and it drives like 30-40 lakh car 2.MRF Stock tyres can be better i was kinda disappointed seeing them at first but they do the job 3. milage In city it is very low i am getting 11-12 in mix traffic 8-10 in tight jams amd on highways it goes 13-15 with full load hopefully it will increase in future 4. I used to have vento compared to that fit and finish is not bad but i notice some things like way door opens all sounds are different, the way door shuts when windows are down there is some sound like windows are vibrating which i never notice in vento which i had for 9 years

Volkswagen Taigun Review. The Volkswagen Taigun is a stylish and well-built compact SUV. Its exterior design looks premium and sporty, while the interior offers a clean and practical layout. One of the biggest highlights of the Taigun is its driving experience. The car feels stable at high speeds and offers good handling, which makes it enjoyable to drive. The engine performance is also good for both city driving and highways. The interior quality is decent, and the seats are comfortable for daily use. It also comes with useful features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, connected-car features, and safety features. However, the rear-seat space and some interior plastics could be better, and the maintenance cost may be higher compared with some competitors. Overall, the Volkswagen Taigun is a good option for someone who wants a stylish, safe, and fun-to-drive compact SUV with a European feel.

Obsessed !. The Volkswagen Taigun has been an absolute joy to own. From the moment I got behind the wheel, I could feel the premium German engineering that Volkswagen is known for. The driving experience is smooth, confident, and incredibly enjoyable, whether I’m navigating city traffic or cruising on the highway. What I love most about the Taigun is how it perfectly balances style, comfort, and performance. Its bold design turns heads wherever it goes, while the spacious and well-crafted interior makes every journey comfortable for both the driver and passengers. The seats are supportive, the cabin feels premium, and the attention to detail is impressive. The engine performance is responsive and refined, delivering plenty of power when needed while remaining fuel-efficient. Safety features provide peace of mind, and the solid build quality makes the car feel reassuringly robust on the road. Volkswagen has truly created a vehicle that brings a smile every time I drive it. The Taigun isn’t just a car—it’s a companion for everyday adventures, family trips, and memorable journeys. I couldn’t be happier with my choice and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, reliable, and fun-to-drive SUV.

Fun to Drive, Solid on Highways. I recently drove the Volkswagen Taigun and honestly, the driving experience was really good. The first thing you notice is how stable the car feels, especially at higher speeds. It feels planted on the highway, and you don't get that nervous feeling when overtaking trucks or changing lanes. The steering feels nicely weighted, and the car responds well when you push the accelerator. The turbo petrol engine is quite fun to drive, especially on open roads. It feels like a car made for someone who actually enjoys driving rather than just travelling from one place to another. The suspension is slightly on the firmer side, so you do feel some bumps on bad roads, but the overall ride is comfortable enough. The seats are supportive, and the driving position gives you a good view of the road. The interiors could have been better for the price, especially in terms of some materials and fit and finish. Rear seat space is decent, but it's not the most spacious car in its segment. Also, if you're driving in heavy traffic regularly, the mileage might not impress you much. Overall, the Taigun feels solid, confident and genuinely enjoyable to drive. It's not perfect, but if driving pleasure, highway stability and engine performance matter more to you than having the most features, it's definitely worth considering. I'd recommend taking a proper test drive before making a decision.

It's not about the brand vw and skoda are very good brand. I owned rapid that's was awesome. 1. Defective vehicle was sold by sundaram vw. These kind of issues was also there with other brands too. The fault is with the dealers. 2. The vw skoda with 2.0, started using local parts for cars rather than importing parts. The earlier 2.0 version of skoda and vw had rattle noise, ac issues and other minor issues. 3. About suspension yes it's on the stiffer side. But it's great in kylaq. 4. The owner used 3xo which has a very ambient interior rather than the black one he owns now. It's kind of clastrobic feel. If u need build quality and performance and medium fuel efficiency u can blindly choose skoda or vw. None of the Indian brands or other brands provides such a driver centric at this price point.

Bro, I don't know if you guys build German cars, that's why I don't trust you, but I know I bought a car without any problems. Hyundai is the best service and best car for Indians. I drove my first creta car for 95 thousand kilometers without any problems. I bought a creta car for the second time, still now running 41 kms . I will buy a creta car for the third time because.??? Because I don't spare any expense, I drive a different level of performance for Indian roads…. I love creta…

Highly Recommended !. Taigun and have been extremely satisfied with my experience so far. The car offers a perfect combination of style, performance, and comfort. Its premium design, solid build quality, and modern features make it stand out in the compact SUV segment. The driving experience is excellent, with responsive handling, a powerful engine, and great stability on highways. The cabin feels spacious and well-designed, with comfortable seating and user-friendly technology features. Safety features are impressive, providing confidence during both city and long-distance drives. The ride quality is smooth, fuel efficiency is decent, and the overall fit and finish reflect Volkswagen’s commitment to quality. If you’re looking for a reliable, feature-packed, and enjoyable SUV, the Volkswagen Taigun is definitely worth considering. Highly recommended!

I noticed that the paint quality has gone poor in VW. In service station I met a person with his two month Virtus. There were many bubbles on the entire body. Mine is 14 year old Vento, paint is still good. Only problem I faced in all these years that I had to replace ABS sensors four times (both sides). One time it was replaced free as it comes under warranty.

The Best SUV With Styling & Safety. The Volkswagen Taigun is one of the best SUVs with styling, build quality, driving pleasure and performance which sets it apart from the crowd. The bold design and premium look and feel of the Volkswagen Taigun ensure it turns heads when driving on city roads. And a safe vehicle give drivers the confidence to take control of city roads.

VW has Indianised their manufacturing, but still hasn't dropped their characteristics.  Indianised: Some cheap feeling plastics Characteristic: Solid build And honestly, I don't think VW is aiming to sell their cars in numbers. They not serious to do competition with other car brands. They know their class. And they know their buyers as well. They simply not making cars for everyone. They are here in India for some specific client-base.

I have virtus 1.0 Automatic. Have annoying rattling noise coming from multiple places. When hearing from driver seat it looks coming from co driver seat. When ask the same with person in codriver seat, they say its coming from driver side. All dashboards are hard plastic. Some times its coming from dashboard. That too if car is driven after parked in direct sunlight the noise is more. Noise is coming only when driven in bad roads or on the bumpy white lines. In plain roads its good. Suspension is harder. Power windows are noisy compared to my alto 800. Driving and handling wise car is great. Plastic quality used inside and outside of the car is good. But to give premium look plastic used in dashboard for biege and glossy black is on lower quality. Centre AC console plastic is also on lower quality which i believe is the main source of rattling noise

Great episode. We acquired a 1.5 DSG Taigun (Lava Blue) in September, and as happy Polo owners since 2010, there was no other car on the market that would've cut it. The Taigun may not be German enough in some regards that older VWs were, and doesn't have quite the pizzazz that the Koreans offer, but its still a sublime experience that will make you slowly fall in love with the car and then there's nothing else that comes close. The 1.5L motor is gem with imperceptible gear shifts, and with my dad's extremely light foot, returns an insane 22-24 kmpl on highway runs (with 2-cylinder mode) while still having the beast mode on tap if you press your foot down. Another thing - My uncle had got a i20 when we got our Polo, and now their car looks like a 13-14 year old car with faded plastics and rusted panels; whereas our Polo just looks a couple of years old. Since we intend to keep the Taigun for a good 15 years at least, that kind of agelessness is what VW delivers that very few other brands do. As for why not the Virtus, its too long for our use case!

Best performer in segment but lacks features. The VW Taigun is an excellent product with solid build quality and performance. The 1.5 Turbo engine mated to a 7-speed DCT is the best combination you'll find in the segment. Although, the car does lack some features compared to its competition but it will always put a smile on your face if you love driving. What was astonishing after driving the likes of Creta, Seltos, and Sierra — Taigun was extremely stable on highway, be it 80km/h, 120km/h, and even when I pushed it to 170km/h. The front seat passengers will never realize how fast you're going due to the the build, stability, and quiteness of the cabin. One thing I would recommend is getting Focal Speakers installed as the OEM sound quality is quite poor. Also, go for Tiguan's horn as the OEM horn is puny by all means.

I have the Slavia with the same 1.0L engine (auto) for city use. After 30K of usage, I’ve still got 9kmpl average in city. I get the same mileage in my much larger 1.5L Hector Auto (in case anyone questioning driving style). The 3cylinder engine in hindsight keeps torque very high. The Aircon also is not strong, so almost always on full. Hugely disappointed with that. It’s fun to drive, and has a little pep. Strong build quality on outside; but interior plastics are incredibly cheap.

I have had a very bad service experience with VW (Vento 2012 Model). Drive experience and build quality are awesome but service is pathetic..10 days back I went for servicing..they charged 1 lakh for servicing and fixing multiple issues.. their spare is very very expensive..they changed two fuel injectors (24-25 k each..changed 2 tyres..suspension and gearbox issue)..their annual maintenance will cost 20-25 k without any major issues..mind we have driven only 35k KM..they have very few service centers...
