My Skoda Slavia Review. Mileage:On the highway, I easily achieve 14-16 km/l, which can stretch up to 18 km/l with a light foot. In heavy city traffic, it drops to around 10-12 km/l. Overall, it's highly respectable for a turbo-petrol.Performance:The engine is a gem. Despite its smaller displacement, it produces 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. The manual gearbox has short, slick throws, making gear changes effortless. There is a slight turbo lag below 1,500 RPM, but once the turbo spools up, overtaking on highways is a breeze.Comfort & Features:Ride quality is beautifully tuned for Indian roads, absorbing most potholes while remaining completely planted at speeds above 100 km/h. The cabin is spacious with well-bolstered seats, a massive 521-liter boot, and modern amenities like a responsive touchscreen and ventilated front seats on higher trims.Overall Experience:The build quality, safety rating, and driving dynamics make this car a joy to own. It offers a premium European sedan feel without breaking the bank.

Recurring clutch failure in my ŠKODA Slavia 2 Times with in 26K KM. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern regarding a recurring clutch failure in my ŠKODA Slavia. Purchase Date: October 2024 First Clutch Failure: At 14,700 km (Replaced at Gurudev Motors, Guindy, with 50% cost borne by me under protest) Second Clutch Failure: At 26,000 km – same issue has reoccurred Despite the clutch being replaced just a few months ago, the same problem has occurred again, which is highly unacceptable and clearly points to a manufacturing defect or improper workmanship during the previous service.

My First Impressions of the Skoda Slavia (Under 500 km). As a brand new owner, having driven my Skoda Slavia for just under 500 km, my impressions are overwhelmingly positive. This is more of an initial 'first drive' report than a long-term review, but the experience so far has been nothing short of exceptional. Design & Road Presence: The Slavia is truly a head-turner. The design is classic Skoda—elegant, sharp, and distinctly European. It looks premium and substantial, easily commanding attention on the road. The detailing, from the signature grille to the crisp lines, feels well-executed and gives the car an expensive look that belies its price segment. Driving Dynamics (First 500 km): The initial driving experience has been incredibly smooth and the engine TSI is responsive, and the short-distance city driving has been effortless. Even while taking it easy during the running-in period, the car feels punchy and eager. The steering is light at low speeds, making city parking easy, but promises to weigh up nicely for highway stability (which I look forward to testing soon). The ride comfort over minor bumps has been surprisingly good for a sedan. Interiors & Comfort: Inside, the cabin is spacious and feels airy. The build quality and fit-and-finish are excellent—everything feels solid and well put together. The seating comfort, both in the front and back, is commendable. The features like the intuitive infotainment system and the sheer amount of boot space are already proving to be extremely practical. Early Verdict: The Skoda Slavia has delivered on its promise of being a stylish, safe (backed by its 5-star safety rating), and enjoyable sedan. It offers a great blend of performance (even in its initial phase), luxury feel, and practicality. If your priority is a classy, fun-to-drive sedan that feels premium every time you step in, the Slavia is a brilliant choice. I am thoroughly impressed with my initial ownership experience and look forward to many more kilometers!

A Great Car For Enthusiasts. Owning A skoda slavia sportline 1.5 DSG vehicle since 1 month its a great machine and i had done a trip of 2000km in 4 days. The performance was absolute and the comfort was unmatched drove for 9 hrs continously still did not felt tired at all and achieved a average of 14to15 kmpl in entire trip, which is decent considering the size of the vehicle had 4 passengers along with boot full.

Fantastic. I'm thoroughly impressed with the Skoda Kylaq Signature! The 1.0L TSI engine delivers a smooth and responsive drive, with plenty of power for city and highway cruising. The interior is spacious and well-appointed, with premium features like a touchscreen, infotainment system and rear AC vents. The safety features are top-notch, with a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating and features like ESP and TPMS. The exterior design is sleek and modern, with a bold front grille and sharp LED headlamps. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Skoda Kylaq Signature for its perfect blend of style, comfort, and performance. It's a great value for money, priced at ₹9.59 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Leading the \"Bring back the sedan movement !\". Drove the Slavia on some bad inner roads late at night. I haven't driven a sedan in God knows how long as I was never interested in sedans after getting a Thar. All test drives I had done since then were only SUVs or hatchbacks or EVs. It was quite easy to get comfortable and drive. It was the 1.5 DSG variant with paddle shifters - I didn't use the paddle shifters though as I didn't have time to get used to them. Took some time to get used to the sharp biting brakes and this was annoying until I got used to it. Power and performance was more than enough and I was a passenger in the Slavia on a highway run with a wanna be race driver, driving and trying to squeeze very ounce of power from the Skoda. As soon as we got on the highway manual mode was engaged and then the car took off, heeding the instructions of the driver revving hard in all gears with the paddle shifters being used to the max. I was holding on for dear life as he was swerving and weaving in and out of slow moving vehicles that covered all 3 lanes. A distance of around 50 km was done in a little over 40 minutes with speeds easily touching 100 plus. I had wanted to take photos and videos but realized rapidly (see what I did there) that I had better use my hands to hold on to the passenger side handle and use my legs to brace myself. It was a wild ride for a person who hasn't driven a sedan in a long long time it was a great experience to see a powerful sedan being driven well. I was reminded of why sedans were and still are quite popular among those who love to drive long distances as the stability and cornering capabilities are something that SUV drivers cannot even dream about. Overall I liked the car and the power the 1.5 provides. I like the looks of the Virtus more than the Slavia but that is just a personal opinion. There are more Slavias sold than the Virtus and that should give an idea of how popular it is. Definitely a powerful, safe and well featured sedan that brings a smile to ones face.

I am owner of Slavia 1.0L, and believed me its piece of mind never visited showroom after I bought my car( 9 months ). Everyone is talking AC performance, yes AC take 5 to 7 min extra to cool it down .This car for mature and classy people i don't think this point is deal breaker. But when you drive absolutely love it no one can match drive ability of this sedan. It stand out completely different from so call crossover hatchback now people called SUV lol.

Gorgeous Sedan. A great-looking car, turns heads (1.0l TSI AT, TC). The lava blue colour on the Slavia is what stands out. Compliments on the looks are now regular. Buying purchase was very pleasant, bought it from Safdarjung, New Delhi. Have driven it for 5500+km, no major issues (other than a puncture due to a loose screw). Servicing after the first year was also a breeze (Pick up and drop). Had no expenses since I had taken the 3-year service package. The 2-spoke steering wheel is my favourite. Gives you the freedom to hold the steering any way you want to! The steering wheel is also very light to steer, making it effortless. Boot space is humongous. Enough for a family of 4. AC feels fine, I have just left it at 22C. Ventilated seats are an advantage during humid conditions. Cons: This car is long. Won't fit in smaller spaces. In lower gears, turbo lag is significant, especially after braking.

A Sedan That Feels Premium, Drives Powerful, and Stays Reliable. This car delivers a premium and luxurious driving experience that often reminds people of high-end brands like BMW. Being a German-engineered vehicle, it reflects strong build quality, precise handling, and a refined design philosophy. The exterior looks elegant and sporty at the same time, while the interior feels well-crafted with high-quality materials, giving the cabin a true luxury feel in its segment. Under the hood, the 1.5-litre engine is one of the biggest highlights. It offers smooth power delivery, strong performance, and excellent reliability, making the car suitable for both city driving and long highway journeys. The engine is responsive yet efficient, providing a balanced combination of performance and fuel economy. Gear shifts are smooth, and overall driving comfort is impressive, even on rough Indian roads. The car also benefits from solid German engineering backed by Škoda and its parent company, the Volkswagen Group, which adds trust and long-term reliability. Advanced safety features, stable handling, and comfortable seating further enhance the ownership experience. Overall, this car is an excellent choice for buyers who want luxury, performance, and reliability in one stylish package, without stepping into the ultra-premium price range.

Driving the Slavia 1.5TSI DSG Monte Carlo Lava Blue for the last 3 months and absolutely love every element of the car. Was driving a diesel Creta before, after driving the Slavia and switching to a Sedan, can’t think of going back to the SUV world again.

I got a kushaq 1.5 monte Carlo last year and the wireless charger thing is prolly resolved cuz I haven't gotten any such problems, also i think you do get wireless Android auto cuz I have it in mine but yeah it is glitchy. About the AC it's gotten way better now I assume cuz it gets quite freezing in the car really quite even if it's around 38° outside. Overall love the car tho especially the way it squats down while driving fast and handles corners quite accurately, it goes exactly were you want it to go, ofc the increase in weight of the steering at higher speeds really helps with this, while it gets light at slow speeds. Overall amazing car couldn't ask for anything better.(Ps. Last car I used to drive around was my dad's 2012 i20.

The Slavia looks stunning. Buying Experience The whole buying process was smooth. I went with the 1.0 TSI Style variant — felt like the best value for money. The dealership staff were chill, didn’t push too hard, and answered all my questions patiently. Delivery took around 3 weeks, and they even threw in some basic accessories. Financing was quick, too, no drama. Driving Experience This car is fun to drive. The 1.0 turbo petrol engine has enough punch for both city traffic and highway drives. Overtakes are easy, and the automatic gearbox (torque converter) is smooth, not jerky at all. It handles bumps well, and cornering feels confident. It’s not a sports car, but for daily use and weekend trips, it's solid. Design & Features The Slavia looks stunning — very sleek and premium. It's got that European vibe, and people notice it on the road. Inside, it’s well put together. You get a big 10-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, ventilated seats (a blessing in summer), and a digital instrument cluster. The boot is HUGE — seriously, you could fit luggage for a full family trip without stress. Mileage & Maintenance In the city, I’m getting around 13–14 km/l, and on highways it touches 17–18 km/l if I drive lightly. Maintenance-wise, Škoda has improved a lot. The service staff are more responsive now, and the service plan they offer helps keep costs predictable. No horror stories so far! Pros: Super stylish design Great to drive — especially on highways Loaded with features Solid build quality and safety Cons: No diesel option Touch AC controls can be annoying Slight turbo lag at very low speeds Rear headroom is a bit tight for tall folks.

I am extremely disappointed after buying Slavia, signature variant this May' 2026. The front right suspension gives out tension extension noise while while hitting the seperator between the 2 slabs in the bridge. The service centre has no clue of the noise which I discovered on the day of the delivery of the car.

Comfortable, Powerful & Practical Sedan. I have been using the Skoda Slavia for some time now and overall the experience has been very satisfying. The car looks premium and modern, especially from the front and side profile. Engine performance is one of the biggest highlights it feels smooth in city driving and very confident on highways. Steering response is sharp and handling is excellent at high speeds. Suspension setup is well balanced and absorbs most road bumps comfortably. Interior quality is good and the cabin feels spacious, especially for front passengers. Mileage is decent for a petrol sedan if driven calmly. Safety features and build quality give confidence. Service cost can be slightly on the higher side, but the driving pleasure makes up for it. Overall, Skoda Slavia is a great choice for those who love driving and want a stylish, safe sedan.

Premium, Safe & Adventure Ready. It’s been a year with my Skoda Slavia Sportline, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. The car feels premium inside out — the cabin has a true luxury feel, and build quality is solid, giving me complete peace of mind when traveling with family. Safety has always been a top priority for me, and the Slavia delivers perfectly in that aspect. One of the biggest surprises was the ground clearance. I did a Ladakh road trip with it, and not even once did the underbody scrape the road — that says a lot about how capable and practical it is for Indian conditions. On highways, the stability and comfort are outstanding, while in the city it feels smooth and refined. If you’re looking for a sedan that combines premium design, solid safety, and real-world practicality, the Slavia Sportline is a fantastic choice.

CarWale owner reviewsSeptember 2024

Great performance, needs to add more features to the base variant. 1. Driving Experience: This car drives like a sports car. The moment you revv the car, you see how powerful and refined the engine is. The pick-up is quick and you feel how good it is when you need to overtake or accelerate after a traffic jam. It’s almost instantaneous. I drove the 1.0-litre mid variant and it didn’t feel like a 1.0-litre engine at all, it was more powerful than competitors like Verna and Honda City. 2. Looks: The car’s exteriors look extremely premium and pose a striking resemblance to the BMW gran coupe m sport, especially the lava blue variant. The dual-tone interior also feels posh and the plastics don’t look cheap. Glossy finishes here and there around the cabin make the car look good. However, competitors like Verna are now offering LED profile lights near the dashboard which replicate the look of luxury cars, and can be a feature Skoda can add in the upcoming facelift in 2025. 3. Comfort and safety: The cabin is very spacious and can easily seat 5 people. The seats are well cushioned and you feel how important it is over longer drives. There are no cabin noises, apart from the AC, which is quite noisy and ineffective for the Indian summers. Competitors like Verna, Honda City and Ciaz are offering ventilated seats, front and rear armrests and rear AC vents from the base variants itself now which is a feature Skoda can add in upcoming base variants. The car feels very safe, the built quality feels sturdy and the suspension is amazing. It also enjoys a 5-star NCAP rating so safety is guaranteed. 4. Pricing and features: The base variant of the car, although lucratively priced, has nearly no features compared to competitors (rear AC vents, armrests) and even lacks critical safety features such as hill hold assist, and rear parking camera. For someone looking to have a hill hold assist and rear parking camera, they will have to shell out an extra 3-4 lacs because the next variant is pretty expensive. Skoda should come up with a value/comfort variant with an ESP around 11.69 lacs (between the base and mid) that offers these safety and comfort features: rear parking camera, rear AC vents, front armrest, hill hold assist, brake assist, ventilated seats. This would cater well to buyers that have a budget of 12-13 lacs, since not everyone can afford a mid variant at 15 lacs and not everyone wants alloy wheels for a premium of 3 lacs. 5. Maintenance: Expect a maintenance fee of around 8-10k per service, although the service experience is good and reliable. The car may run into issues with the AC and brake paddles (depending on your driving). But regular maintenance will avoid any major expenses/surprises. Pros and cons: Pros: All in all Slavia is a very promising car, with killer looks and a peppy engine. Cons: Some work on introducing critical features in the base variant and introducing a variant between the base and the mid variant that at least offers what competitors are offering right from the base variant would really make too good a car to ignore. Fuel efficiency, AC inefficiency, expensive parts and maintenance are some other sore points.
