The Punch. Recently bought a Tata Punch CNG in Pune after researching its impressive 26.99 km/kg ARAI mileage, perfect for city commutes and cutting fuel costs amid rising prices. The test drive at the local Tata showroom was smooth; the twin-cylinder iCNG setup felt responsive despite the CNG mode, with seamless petrol-CNG switching. Handling was nimble on pothole-ridden roads, and the cabin felt spacious for a micro-SUV. The AC cooled quickly, a plus in Maharashtra's heat. After 1,000 km, real-world mileage hit 22/24km/kg in mixed traffic, better than my old WagonR. Servicing seems affordable at Rs 3,500/year. Minor gripe: boot space shrinks due to cylinders, but the design tucks them under the floor smartly. Overall, thrilled with the value and eco-friendly drive. Tata Punch CNG provides decent driving comfort for city use, with a high seating position and supportive seats that reduce fatigue on long drives. The 1.2L engine outputs 72 bhp and 103 Nm on CNG (87 bhp/115 Nm on petrol), offering adequate low-end pull for traffic but sluggish acceleration with AC or full load. Overtaking on highways requires planning due to muted throttle response; AMT variants ease city shifts for relaxed driving.

I am having Punch Adventure Cng AMT and the mentioned points are absolutely correct about the driver seat leg space, Lag in 2nd gear shifting, quick gear shifting issue, finishing problems, in petrol gives only 8kmpl in bumper to bumper, cng 18 kmpl even in low traffic.

My overall ownership experience with the Tata Punch has been very positive. What I particularly enjoy is the engine performance. The engine feels smoo. Overall, my ownership experience with the Tata Punch has been quite good. The ride quality and suspension are the highlights, especially on bad roads and potholes. The seats are reasonably comfortable for long drives, although they could have better thigh support. The car has a good set of features for its segment, and the high seating position gives a good view of the road. The suspension feels well suited for Indian road conditions and absorbs most bumps nicely. Overall, I would say the Punch is a comfortable and practical car for both city driving and occasional highway trips. The main areas where I feel there is room for improvement are refinement, cabin noise and some of the feature/infotainment experience. I am very happy with the car overall, but the service experience has been disappointing. The service centre needs to improve its responsiveness and quality of work. Mileage is another area that could be better, as the real-world fuel efficiency is only average, especially in city driving.

Awesome car. Its aswsome car Engine & Power Powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing ~85-88 bhp and ~113-115 Nm torque. Available with 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. CNG and turbo-petrol options (in facelift variants) have been introduced for better performance and mileage. Driving Experience City commuting: Smooth and easy to drive; light steering and high seating make it confidence-inspiring in traffic. Highway: Adequate for cruising but overtakes require planning with the regular NA engine; turbo-petrol improves mid-range pulling. AMT gearbox: Convenient but feels jerky and slow compared to modern CVTs or torque-converter autos.

I own the same car petrol variant, recently i took long trip to ujjain omkareshwar, udaipur jodhpur and jaisalmer then back to pune... With 4adults and 2kids , i got total overall 17kmpl mileage with full AC on... Highway stability is good, it will feels some what underpower while overtaking that's only drawback, and as he mentioned I'm 5.10 person my knee will touch to dashboard that is one concern, remaining it's best car,, suspension is best compared to exter cz I own grand10 nios before this it's very bumpy in highway and rear seat person will not be comfortable... I don't see any major vibration and too much NVH while driving.. if u keep ur car around 90 to 100kmpl then all cars are same... Don't simply blame any cars with out driving or seeing only review in YT ... AC is very good , headlight light throw is not great,

A Stylish and Comfortable Companion, but Lacks Premium Lighting. I have been using the Tata Punch for some time now, and it has been a reliable and comfortable car for my daily needs. It strikes a great balance between a compact city car and a spacious SUV-like experience, making it a strong contender in its segment. Pros: Design: The car has a fantastic road presence. The bold, SUV-inspired design looks modern and stands out on the road. Comfort & Space: The cabin is impressively spacious for its size, and the seats provide excellent comfort, even during longer drives. It feels roomy and well-thought-out for passengers. Fuel Efficiency: I am quite satisfied with the mileage. In city traffic, it consistently delivers around 15 km/l, and on highway runs, it impressively touches 20 km/l. Cons: Lighting Visibility: The biggest drawback for me is the headlight performance. The visibility at night is quite poor, which makes driving on unlit roads challenging. I strongly feel Tata should have provided brighter LED lights as standard. Missing Features: A hill-hold assist feature would have been a great addition, especially for city driving in hilly terrain or stop-and-go traffic on inclines. Verdict: The Tata Punch is a brilliant package in terms of aesthetics, interior comfort, and fuel economy. If you are looking for a practical and stylish city car, this is definitely worth considering. However, if you do a lot of night driving, you might want to look into aftermarket lighting upgrades.

Punch CNG have no Punch actually but Efficiency is impeccable.. The Car is good in safety-wise, or else I would say the best in class at this price range. However, as TATA is known for its bad after-sales and panel gaps, which are also present in the car and feels bad after paying a good amount of money. But the steering feedback is good, and if you drive alone, 2 people are there in the car, then the car feels punchy, but if there are 4 people, it lags, which feels bad but manageable. The mileage in CNG is around 25-28 km per kg of gas and around 12-15 kmpl on petrol. The plastic quality is not that great and doesn't feel premium. The AC is great and a superb experience in summer. The windshield is quite big, which makes it easy to drive the car, and the boot space is also good. The speakers are just wonderful and the best in class. Overall, a great car to buy and go with the white colour of it, as it is quite finished from the company's end and looks premium as well.

Mileage chaiye with no security and with dashing look with low boot space then go for Fronx but if you are ready to compromise 2-4 km mileage with 5 star security and better boot space go for TATA

Nice Car, best safety ever, safest car!. I own a Tata Punch, and honestly, it has been a very good experience for me. The car feels very strong and safe on the road. The build quality is excellent and you can clearly feel the solidity while driving. The ground clearance is very helpful on bad roads and speed breakers, which is common on Indian roads. The driving position is comfortable and the visibility from the driver's seat is great. The steering is light in the city and the car is easy to handle in traffic. For a compact car, the space inside is also quite good. The infotainment system and basic features are practical for daily use. Mileage is decent and the car is reliable for regular driving. Maintenance from Tata service has also been satisfactory. Overall, the Tata Punch is a strong, practical and safe car for daily use. I am satisfied with my purchase and I would definitely give it 5 stars.

Compact SUV Feel with Strong Build – Tata Punch Review. Buying the Tata Punch was a special moment for me, and it truly feels like more than just a car. From day one, its bold SUV-inspired design and high seating position gave me confidence on the road. Driving around Hooghly, especially on uneven roads, has been very comfortable thanks to its excellent suspension and strong build quality. It genuinely feels safe and solid. The compact size makes city driving and parking super easy, while the mileage is practical for daily use. What I love most is how it handles rough roads without any stress—it’s perfect for Indian conditions. The only small drawback is that the engine could feel slightly more powerful on highways, but for city driving, it performs well. Overall, the Tata Punch is not just a car, it’s an experience—perfect for anyone looking for style, safety, and comfort in a budget-friendly package. Regular servicing and smooth driving will keep it performing at its best for years.

The Best Car OF 2026. The Tata Punch is a small SUV that looks okay and is made for people who drive in the city or go for short trips. It has a normal design, enough space, and some safety features. The ground clearance is fine, and the seats are comfortable for daily use. The engine is average and does the job, but not very powerful on highways. Overall, bad gearbox, bad nvh level , bad rear space , noisy engine , lower mileage even in cng if compared to competitors, unoptimised boot space , no feel good features, looks like a small car if compared to other cars in this price, fuel tank issues. Aren't these things define that this is a really bad product, just marketed in a good way and got sales figures due to correct price placement. I am also a tata puch owner so I could relate with the issues.

Tata Punch: Big Attitude in a Compact SUV. Tata Punch Review – Drove My Friend’s Car I recently got a chance to drive my friend’s Tata Punch, and honestly, the experience was better than I expected. Since it wasn’t my own car, I was a bit extra observant about how it feels in real-world driving—and the Punch left a good impression. The first thing I noticed was how solid the car feels once you start driving. The seating position is slightly high, which gives a nice view of the road and makes you feel confident behind the wheel. In city traffic, the car was easy to handle. The steering felt light, and I didn’t struggle while taking turns or squeezing through tight roads. While driving over uneven roads and speed breakers, the suspension did a good job. The car didn’t feel bouncy, and most of the road shocks were handled comfortably. The engine performance felt smooth and sufficient for normal city driving. It’s not a car meant for aggressive driving, but for daily use, it feels relaxed and dependable. Inside, the cabin felt neat and well-built. The controls were easy to use, and everything felt placed properly. Even as a first-time driver of this car, I felt comfortable within a few minutes. The brakes felt confident, and overall the car gave a safe and stable feeling. After driving my friend’s Tata Punch, I felt it’s a practical and sensible car. It may be compact in size, but it feels strong, comfortable, and confidence-inspiring something you’d expect from a good everyday car.

Good car overall. The car is of a good brand. I like the design and particularity of the car. Good fit finish and overall a very useful car and helps a lot to good Overall drive including mileage, performance is great, even features are also enough in the money they are demanding. But the main drawback is comfort, drive posture and seat comfort is not that great. Also the front profile of car is not catchy or up to date its more like out fashioned.
