Ertiga good but average is less. I have driven the Ertiga VXi 5MT for 15000km, and my experience was good, but the average of this car was only 14, rather than the company's claim of 20 approximately. Build quality is also very poor in some places body like thin metal banding by hand. Some features are also missing, like the seat height not being set.

One more thing the AC vents in back is Full Compressor connected unit and not blower. Some Auto reviewer said it in his review and the whole of India keeps saying it and Maruti being Maruti never rebutted it. The AC persformance is excellent too.

I have travelled in Ertiga on middle seat with 6 co passengers( including driver), felt very cramped for space. Not at all comfortable for long drives. Back seat comfort i can imagine, will be even more horrible. I changed myself to front seat after feeling fatigued, nauseated. Not at all suitable for more than 5 people, i felt. Fully loaded pickup was average only, on highway. Not good as a 7 seater. Okay for 5 people. I beleive Innova is unmatchable in that segment. My personal experience.
Ertiga-Never Buy it. Based on the features I have purchased this car. Mileage as per the company shows 19. 00 + .km per liter based on the condition. But as per my driving experience, it gives 12 to 14 in all conditions whether it is highway or local. Local with AC it gives only 12km per liter and on highway, it gives 14 km per liter. It's failed on mileage commitment. The build quality of these cars is totally low, if you see all the Ertiga cars running on the road you see compulsory dents on the body of the car, even if you maintain it very carefully. The range features total waste it won't show at all correctly.
