Spacious Cabin, 5 people can sit comfortably Refined petrol engine Low Maintenance Cost Auto A/C works well Easy to drive in City Good mileage (Around 14 in the city and 17-18 on the highway. P.S It completely depends upon how you drive the car) Buying experience and after-sales service was really good Cons: Engine could have been more powerful Ride becomes bouncy at high speeds and gets uncomfortable for the passenger at the back Low-quality interior (low-quality plastics everywhere. They look good but they are not upto mark) Vehicle bounces a lot at bad roads due to the soft suspension setup. The ride will be smooth and comfortable as long as the roads are decently good. If the road is worse it will bounce less compared with the same budget other cars. Average ground Clearance (While fully loaded with 4 passengers).

The interior quality is good but materials used in dashboard with hard plastics making not feels very premium than the Tata Altroz, Tiago and Hyundai i20.It feels very light on higher speeds while driving on the highways making it unstable with 850 kgs of kerb weight. It also gets noisy and feels vibrations at higher speeds.Maruti Swift 163 mm ground clearance is not good for Indian roads to scrape speed breakers.The rear seat space can be a bit cramped for taller people and thigh support is also not good.

Baleno has four cylinder engine obviously... But less head room nd less height than swift...nd you find yourself very down on front seats.. swift has more clear nd bonnet visibility than baleno.. 3 cylinder engine is futuristic.. less pollution and eco-friendly wth higher mileage. And as far as build quality concern if you drive over speed then your not save in any car

Hi just wanted to share my experience of buying a swift. Last year i went on a hunt to buy a swift with just a budget of 2L, i was looking for a 2007-09 model(with G13B engine). after 2-3 months of looking, i found this 2012 Swift(K12) VXI at a very good deal for a 2.5L that too with showroom track record and just 34k kms it had factory set of tires and everything the car ticked every box but it had a issue of rusting on doors. with a very heavy heart and advices i decided to go for it. The estimates i got for changing doors were 12k for panels and 10k for paint (I'm thinking to get it all painted in a different color). 1 year of ownership and im shocked to see how it performs even now. It easily pulls up to 130kmph!(it can go further too🙃) and the service spare parts are cheap and easy to source. I havent tested the mileage yet but its good as i just fill it once a month and it goes above 400-450kms before the guage is near to Empty. aftermarket support is fantastic. Its truly a good beginner car imo. Im not a big fan of brakes though. The interior of this model doesnt feel outdated as such its modern and classic also it has ample space inside compared to other generations.

A beautiful model with deformed brain. Had a test drive, extremely shocked by the performance. It is peppy in slow traffic but the brand new test car jerks when accelerated and this is a typical 3-cylinder behaviour. Swift with 3 cylinders major mistake by Maruti. Spare parts are always available. fun to drive car, fuel efficient, low running cost, great resale value, reliable brand, loaded with essential features in vxi variant. Some cost-cutting in cabin materials, the rear seat space could be better for 3 adults. Apart from all this, Swift is a smart choice for first-time car buyers.

After watching a few videos about the swift the major thing is that engine is still amazing , better fuel efficiency , amazing amazing suspension and regarding build quality no one has clearly stated about it , like basically considered it to be like before. Anyways great work from maruti!!
