Love your content and have been following you since many years, the way described everything about the car, it’s negatives and positives was just on point and no bakwas, i was relating to everything you said in the video as I am also a fellow Thar Roxx Owners and it’s been 7 months and clocked 12,000 kms on the odo and despite its little negatives it has been an absolute pleasure owning this Beast, Whenever the car turns on and you sit in that driving seat, that feeling is unmatched ❤ Keep up the good work brother 🫶🏼 you are one of the few who are genuinely creating valuable content 🙌🏼

I Recently Got A Chance. I recently got a chance to spend time with the Mahindra Thar lxd mt 2WD and honestly, it feels more than just a car. It has a strong personality, the first thing that stands out is bold look. Whenever I goes, people sees that design feels premium specially the hard top and definitely gives the adventure ready vibe. The diesel engine feel strong and smooth especially on highway and open road, the manual gearbox is enjoyable to use and the car feels more powerful while driving in city traffic, takes a little time to get used to its size but once you do driving become fun and confidence inside the cabin feels modern and comfortable.  Touch screen system, sound quality and over all dashboard design makes it feel much better than older off road SUVs. The seats are also comfortable for long drive and the main part is it's decent look.

I’ve driven Scorpion N Manual Diesel Z6 for 47,000 KMs and now driving Thar Roxx Diesel Manual Star Edition. Driven Roxx for 8.5K so far. Comfort: Scorpion N is far better, especially for someone about 6 feet. Seats are like Sofa. Big, bulky and comfortable. Power- Thar Roxx feels better, despite on paper it is 150 BHP whereas my Scorpio N Z6 was 172 BHP. Music - Star Edition has got Harmon Cardon and I just love it. One of the reasons I had to sell Scorpio N. The other reason was moving to Lease. Despite spending significant amount on sound, Scorpio N didn’t improve. Interior - Thar Roxx Exterior - Although both cars look great, I don’t have to worry about scratches in Thar Roxx, so one additional point to Thar Roxx here. Mileage- Despite driving the way I did Scorpio N, even my highway mileage at 100 kmph, which is what I prefer, Thar Roxx barely gives 14 kmph. Scorpio N delivered 16 kmph in same conditions, same roads. Aero Dynamics- Thar Roxx is shit. Get used to replacing windshield every now and then if you drive it on Highways. Scorpio N was better. Got to know this only after owning it. Replaced once already. Bonus- Considering Manual Transmission, that Dead Pedal in Scorpio N gave a lot of comfort. Unfortunately, missing from Manual That Roxx. Showroom deceived me by giving Test Drive of Automatic only, which included it. So Automatic is better.

Everything You Need to Know Before Buying. This isn't just a car; it's a statement, and the Thar LXT MT 2WD Diesel 1.5L Turbo Manual manages to capture that raw 'jeep-wali' presence without completely breaking the bank. Let's be honest, you buy this variant not for hardcore off-roading, but for the sheer style and the high driving position that makes you feel like the king of the road, especially in crowded city traffic. The 1.5L diesel engine is surprisingly competent—it has enough low-end grunt to pull smoothly from a standstill, making city driving genuinely manageable, and the claimed mileage is a big step up from its bigger 4x4 sibling. This practicality is the Thar's new humanitarian angle—it brings the iconic look to the daily commuter, Now for the unvarnished truth: it's still a Thar. The ride is bumpy, especially over broken city roads; the stiff suspension, which gives it its rugged character, makes it unsettled at high speeds. Rear seat access is a genuine pain thanks to the two-door layout, and the boot space is comically small. If this is your only family car, you will struggle. Interior refinement is basic, and while the cabin is robust and easy to clean (a plus for adventurous types), the high wind noise on the highway will wear you down. Crucially, the biggest drawback remains the safety kit—in 2025, having only two airbags is a glaring miss and feels like a compromise on the well-being of the passengers, an ethical consideration you simply can’t ignore. It’s an emotional purchase that delivers smiles, but you must accept its compromises in comfort and safety for that iconic presence.

0:12: Stock halogen headlight is sufficient in the city and on highway where there's pitch darkness; however, in the upcoming vehicles's beam, it is not sufficient. 0:17: He had to do 5 times regen (DEF regeneration) because he is NOT taking his Thar on the highway drive for 30 minutes at minimum 2500 RPM. If he does this, there's absolutely no DEF problem. He might also be using low quality fuel. I fill up Shell V-Power Diesel and the performance is simply out of the world in terms of pick-up/tork/mileage. 5:32: Mileage for good quality Diesel fuel is 14-16 in the City and 16 to 18 on highway. 7:17: As Thar has "Body on Frame", there's a good amount of body roll and undulations on the flat road, but you can drive at a speed of 120 comfortably with body roll and undulations on the highway; you will enjoy; however, beyond 120 speed, you do not feel the confidence due to less breaking power during emergency breaking and body roll. The most ideal speed is between 80 to 100. You will enjoy the drive like anything. 7:31: Wind noise can be felt above 110; for that, Thar owners do "Damping" that totally reduces the wind and tire noise. See, there's solution for everything; you just need to know. 8:10: Infotainment system in the uplift Thar is very decent and suffice the purpose. The same infotainment system is used in Thar ROXX. 9:07: Comfort is good; didn't face any problem at my height 5"7. However, I felt issue with its Breaking. Breaks are very low and not very dependent especially in case of emergency breaking. You need to be very careful in using the breaks at a high speed. 10:07: Paint quality is definitely good; I have Everest White and the paint is superb! 11:13: No Diesel smell at all in the uplift version of Thar 2025. Absolutely not! 14:12: Advice as a Thar uplift 2025 Diesel owner: A word of caution is that, Thar cannot be your extended family car for sure. If you have a big family, do not buy Thar as your primary vehicle. If you already have a primary vehicle for your big family, just go ahead and buy it without thinking or surveying too much; don't think too much. Just buy it and enjoy it. Also, note that the boot space is very limited as Thar is a "sub-4 (meter)" SUV. My family has only two members - husband and wife, so we bought a Thar uplift and we are thoroughly enjoying it everyday. No complaints and no issues. Hope this feedback help to the aspiring people.

Mahindra Thar. Driving the 2 Door Thar in Bangalore’s KR Puram was an exhilarating experience. The Thar’s rugged build and distinctive Jeep styling immediately make an impression, commanding respect on the city’s busy roads. Its elevated seating position provides excellent visibility, helping you navigate Bengaluru traffic with confidence and ease. The engine performance is robust, offering plenty of power when needed — whether for city sprints or occasional highway bursts. While handling is impressive at moderate speeds, you’ll notice some body roll during sharp turns, and the wide turning radius can make tight maneuvers a bit tricky. Interior features are practical; there’s enough comfort for front passengers, but accessing the rear seat requires a bit of effort due to the 2-door layout. The ride quality is generally bumpy over uneven city streets, reflecting its off-road character more than urban polish. Despite these quirks, the Thar’s combination of style, capability, and fun factor makes it a unique choice for adventurous drivers in Bangalore. If you love standing out and crave versatility, the 2 Door Thar delivers in spades.

My 6-month-old Mahindra XUV 7XO’s alloy wheel suddenly broke while driving at 60 km/h, causing the broken piece to puncture the left rear tyre and resulting in a tyre burst. Mahindra Customer Care has not provided a satisfactory response. What should I do?😢

Thanks for the beautiful video, again and again you are giving some wonderful insides. Btw I’ve also bought Roxx AX7L amt for my family, some are the common issues which you have addressed but most irritating which my whole family is facing is ‘No normal cruise control setting, It can only be set while auto braking On’ and this feature so annoying for us that like you removed wireless charging externally, we are thinking of removing it by any way-out. Please suggest some imp point over this issue !!

I think I know the jerkiness which you're talking about at 19:00 The Slavia 1.5 DSG unit is a downgraded box to meet Indian traffic conditions and overheating. The unit shifts to Neutral and shows D mode on console. When you release the brakes, the DSG unit takes a bit to switch back from N and start moving! The 1.0 Slavia with a torque converter unit is far more responsive in bumper to bumper traffic than the 1.5 DSG. You're soo used to the lag that you started enjoying it! Thar with its torque converter unit and additional torque gives a power surge, which translates to jerky feel for you.

Best Car Ever. Best comfort, safety and performance wise, best car I've ever drive. I can also say that best car for its looks. If we talk  about the engine, I'm impress but the mileage is low but it is the neutralize. Stasified with the experience, the car overall it can classify my worth and show my status in the society, when I talk about it was very good according to its price.

Thank you, Gagan for a nice overview of your ownership! Not many people realize that windshield glass is a structural member. Windshields contributes significantly to the vehicle's overall strength, particularly in rollovers where it supports the roof and prevents collapse. It is an integral part of the car's design and provides crucial support for the roof structure, helps deploy passenger-side airbags correctly, and prevents occupants from being ejected during a crash. One should never drive with a cracked windshield as it is a safety hazard. Any vehicle with an upright windshield is prone to rock chips. The only opportunity to repair a rock chip is before it starts to spread. After that, it's downhill all the way. A 2024 Wrangler Rubicon owner here.

Let me clear this once and for all... Torra doesn't exist. Everyone has the same feeling about themselves on the road. So if everyone is Elite... then no one is. Thar is more of an elegant car... that has preserved old Jeep looks in India. And some of us just love the old looks... not just this one but in Sedans as well. Unluckily we don't have older looking sedans anymore. PS: If you look for other people's approval, your life will always be unsatisfactory. Also new model has fuel button... as for breaks, I have never heard anyone complain about brakes before. Get checked.

You rightly said about the cramped area of accelerator and clutch, forget manual even automatic is horrible, as you said any 6 footer will find it difficult and sometimes accidentally pushes the brake by the left leg. Huge compromise for that price and size.
