Light on packet but performance is great. The model I drove is the base model It actually didn't feel like a base model in terms of finishing The engine, which I thought would be underpowered as it is a 1.0 unit running a car that weighs over a ton, wouldn't do great but as soon as I got to drive the car, it completely changed my thoughts The car is very good and balanced in terms of all The only drawback is service and maintenance in the long run Manual wouldn't cause much of a problem but automatics not sure

I agree. I completed 4 years with 98000 km. Fit and finish of interior are not at all worth in this price range. Mainly side ac vent direction assembly, gear knob replaced 3 times till date, door knocking from very beginning and many more. The engine and driving are amazing. Need lots of improvement at the service centre end. I have a 1.5 tsi DSG Auto.

very good point on the paint quality. I had a volkswagen ameo which i kept for 8 years and sold recently. Till Day 0 the paint quality was as good as new from the showroom on day 1. These cars use the same paint quality as used in Audi etc.

If i can afford to maintain and run a car i would every day of the week buy a used Honda or Skoda from late 2000s spend some money get the rubber, seal, gaskets, radiator hoses, thermostat all changed as they cost nothing major. Get the Front and rear suspension overhauled. A good buff of the paint, get the interior done and boom i have a fun to drive reliable car for next 5 years minimum and i can get it serviced outside so very low running cost overall. Eg. A decent condition Honda Civic will cost you 2.5 lakhs, add 1 lakh for all the overhaul and 50K for paper work and miscellaneous and in 4 lakh you have a pretty decent setup.

The Slavia looks stunning. Buying Experience The whole buying process was smooth. I went with the 1.0 TSI Style variant — felt like the best value for money. The dealership staff were chill, didn’t push too hard, and answered all my questions patiently. Delivery took around 3 weeks, and they even threw in some basic accessories. Financing was quick, too, no drama. Driving Experience This car is fun to drive. The 1.0 turbo petrol engine has enough punch for both city traffic and highway drives. Overtakes are easy, and the automatic gearbox (torque converter) is smooth, not jerky at all. It handles bumps well, and cornering feels confident. It’s not a sports car, but for daily use and weekend trips, it's solid. Design & Features The Slavia looks stunning — very sleek and premium. It's got that European vibe, and people notice it on the road. Inside, it’s well put together. You get a big 10-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, ventilated seats (a blessing in summer), and a digital instrument cluster. The boot is HUGE — seriously, you could fit luggage for a full family trip without stress. Mileage & Maintenance In the city, I’m getting around 13–14 km/l, and on highways it touches 17–18 km/l if I drive lightly. Maintenance-wise, Škoda has improved a lot. The service staff are more responsive now, and the service plan they offer helps keep costs predictable. No horror stories so far! Pros: Super stylish design Great to drive — especially on highways Loaded with features Solid build quality and safety Cons: No diesel option Touch AC controls can be annoying Slight turbo lag at very low speeds Rear headroom is a bit tight for tall folks.

Best in segment. The Skoda Slavia is one of the most well-rounded sedans in the mid-size segment, offering a premium yet practical package for Indian buyers. Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, it carries forward Škoda’s signature European design language, with sharp lines, a bold grille, and sleek LED headlamps that give it an elegant yet sporty stance. The Slavia looks bigger and more upmarket compared to many of its rivals, which is a strong advantage in a market where road presence matters. Inside, the cabin feels modern and spacious, with ample legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers. The dashboard layout is clean, highlighted by a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The quality of materials feels solid, and Skoda has managed to strike a good balance between comfort and functionality. Under the hood, the Slavia comes with two petrol engine options – the 1.0 TSI and the more powerful 1.5 TSI with active cylinder technology. Both engines are refined and punchy, making city commutes as well as highway drives enjoyable. The ride quality is tuned well for Indian roads, offering stability at higher speeds and comfort over bumps. Overall, the Skoda Slavia is a strong contender in its class, combining premium design, solid performance, and European build quality. It is an excellent choice for those who want a sedan that feels a class above without entering the luxury segment.

A Sedan That Feels Premium, Drives Powerful, and Stays Reliable. This car delivers a premium and luxurious driving experience that often reminds people of high-end brands like BMW. Being a German-engineered vehicle, it reflects strong build quality, precise handling, and a refined design philosophy. The exterior looks elegant and sporty at the same time, while the interior feels well-crafted with high-quality materials, giving the cabin a true luxury feel in its segment. Under the hood, the 1.5-litre engine is one of the biggest highlights. It offers smooth power delivery, strong performance, and excellent reliability, making the car suitable for both city driving and long highway journeys. The engine is responsive yet efficient, providing a balanced combination of performance and fuel economy. Gear shifts are smooth, and overall driving comfort is impressive, even on rough Indian roads. The car also benefits from solid German engineering backed by Škoda and its parent company, the Volkswagen Group, which adds trust and long-term reliability. Advanced safety features, stable handling, and comfortable seating further enhance the ownership experience. Overall, this car is an excellent choice for buyers who want luxury, performance, and reliability in one stylish package, without stepping into the ultra-premium price range.

I own a Slavia 1.5 Monte Carlo in Tornado Red, and honestly, it’s an absolute joy on the road. The car is a proper driver’s machine — that 1.5 TSI engine leaves pretty much every other car under ₹30L in the rear-view mirror. It’s quick, refined, and makes every drive something to look forward to. The car is incredibly stable even at speeds above 150 kmph and maxes out at 205 :P In terms of mileage, I get about 8–12 km/l in the city (with a gentle foot) and around 16–18 km/l on highways, which is respectable for the performance on offer. The comfort is unmatched in this segment — spacious, supportive seats and suspension tuned just right for both city commutes and long hauls. The music system deserves a special mention — it’s simply phenomenal. No distortion even at higher speeds, making road trips even more enjoyable. Build quality is classic Skoda — solid, confidence-inspiring, and truly “built like a tank.” It isn’t without a few shortcomings though. The reverse camera is quite poor, especially in low light, and the headlights could definitely have been brighter for better night visibility. But apart from these minor gripes, the car feels extremely well-rounded. If you’re looking for a sedan that blends performance, comfort, and solid build, the Slavia 1.5 is hard to beat.

Comfortable, Powerful & Practical Sedan. I have been using the Skoda Slavia for some time now and overall the experience has been very satisfying. The car looks premium and modern, especially from the front and side profile. Engine performance is one of the biggest highlights it feels smooth in city driving and very confident on highways. Steering response is sharp and handling is excellent at high speeds. Suspension setup is well balanced and absorbs most road bumps comfortably. Interior quality is good and the cabin feels spacious, especially for front passengers. Mileage is decent for a petrol sedan if driven calmly. Safety features and build quality give confidence. Service cost can be slightly on the higher side, but the driving pleasure makes up for it. Overall, Skoda Slavia is a great choice for those who love driving and want a stylish, safe sedan.

Its fantastic car. First of all, it looks so good. I love it. It's also spacious, and overall build quality is very, very good. The door thud is a symbol of its safety, even though it's a petrol 1. O litre engine. It provides good mileage of 16, even more many times.

Premium, Safe & Adventure Ready. It’s been a year with my Skoda Slavia Sportline, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. The car feels premium inside out — the cabin has a true luxury feel, and build quality is solid, giving me complete peace of mind when traveling with family. Safety has always been a top priority for me, and the Slavia delivers perfectly in that aspect. One of the biggest surprises was the ground clearance. I did a Ladakh road trip with it, and not even once did the underbody scrape the road — that says a lot about how capable and practical it is for Indian conditions. On highways, the stability and comfort are outstanding, while in the city it feels smooth and refined. If you’re looking for a sedan that combines premium design, solid safety, and real-world practicality, the Slavia Sportline is a fantastic choice.

My Skoda Slavia Review. Mileage:On the highway, I easily achieve 14-16 km/l, which can stretch up to 18 km/l with a light foot. In heavy city traffic, it drops to around 10-12 km/l. Overall, it's highly respectable for a turbo-petrol.Performance:The engine is a gem. Despite its smaller displacement, it produces 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. The manual gearbox has short, slick throws, making gear changes effortless. There is a slight turbo lag below 1,500 RPM, but once the turbo spools up, overtaking on highways is a breeze.Comfort & Features:Ride quality is beautifully tuned for Indian roads, absorbing most potholes while remaining completely planted at speeds above 100 km/h. The cabin is spacious with well-bolstered seats, a massive 521-liter boot, and modern amenities like a responsive touchscreen and ventilated front seats on higher trims.Overall Experience:The build quality, safety rating, and driving dynamics make this car a joy to own. It offers a premium European sedan feel without breaking the bank.

Great performance, needs to add more features to the base variant. 1. Driving Experience: This car drives like a sports car. The moment you revv the car, you see how powerful and refined the engine is. The pick-up is quick and you feel how good it is when you need to overtake or accelerate after a traffic jam. It’s almost instantaneous. I drove the 1.0-litre mid variant and it didn’t feel like a 1.0-litre engine at all, it was more powerful than competitors like Verna and Honda City. 2. Looks: The car’s exteriors look extremely premium and pose a striking resemblance to the BMW gran coupe m sport, especially the lava blue variant. The dual-tone interior also feels posh and the plastics don’t look cheap. Glossy finishes here and there around the cabin make the car look good. However, competitors like Verna are now offering LED profile lights near the dashboard which replicate the look of luxury cars, and can be a feature Skoda can add in the upcoming facelift in 2025. 3. Comfort and safety: The cabin is very spacious and can easily seat 5 people. The seats are well cushioned and you feel how important it is over longer drives. There are no cabin noises, apart from the AC, which is quite noisy and ineffective for the Indian summers. Competitors like Verna, Honda City and Ciaz are offering ventilated seats, front and rear armrests and rear AC vents from the base variants itself now which is a feature Skoda can add in upcoming base variants. The car feels very safe, the built quality feels sturdy and the suspension is amazing. It also enjoys a 5-star NCAP rating so safety is guaranteed. 4. Pricing and features: The base variant of the car, although lucratively priced, has nearly no features compared to competitors (rear AC vents, armrests) and even lacks critical safety features such as hill hold assist, and rear parking camera. For someone looking to have a hill hold assist and rear parking camera, they will have to shell out an extra 3-4 lacs because the next variant is pretty expensive. Skoda should come up with a value/comfort variant with an ESP around 11.69 lacs (between the base and mid) that offers these safety and comfort features: rear parking camera, rear AC vents, front armrest, hill hold assist, brake assist, ventilated seats. This would cater well to buyers that have a budget of 12-13 lacs, since not everyone can afford a mid variant at 15 lacs and not everyone wants alloy wheels for a premium of 3 lacs. 5. Maintenance: Expect a maintenance fee of around 8-10k per service, although the service experience is good and reliable. The car may run into issues with the AC and brake paddles (depending on your driving). But regular maintenance will avoid any major expenses/surprises. Pros and cons: Pros: All in all Slavia is a very promising car, with killer looks and a peppy engine. Cons: Some work on introducing critical features in the base variant and introducing a variant between the base and the mid variant that at least offers what competitors are offering right from the base variant would really make too good a car to ignore. Fuel efficiency, AC inefficiency, expensive parts and maintenance are some other sore points.

My First Impressions of the Skoda Slavia (Under 500 km). As a brand new owner, having driven my Skoda Slavia for just under 500 km, my impressions are overwhelmingly positive. This is more of an initial 'first drive' report than a long-term review, but the experience so far has been nothing short of exceptional. Design & Road Presence: The Slavia is truly a head-turner. The design is classic Skoda—elegant, sharp, and distinctly European. It looks premium and substantial, easily commanding attention on the road. The detailing, from the signature grille to the crisp lines, feels well-executed and gives the car an expensive look that belies its price segment. Driving Dynamics (First 500 km): The initial driving experience has been incredibly smooth and the engine TSI is responsive, and the short-distance city driving has been effortless. Even while taking it easy during the running-in period, the car feels punchy and eager. The steering is light at low speeds, making city parking easy, but promises to weigh up nicely for highway stability (which I look forward to testing soon). The ride comfort over minor bumps has been surprisingly good for a sedan. Interiors & Comfort: Inside, the cabin is spacious and feels airy. The build quality and fit-and-finish are excellent—everything feels solid and well put together. The seating comfort, both in the front and back, is commendable. The features like the intuitive infotainment system and the sheer amount of boot space are already proving to be extremely practical. Early Verdict: The Skoda Slavia has delivered on its promise of being a stylish, safe (backed by its 5-star safety rating), and enjoyable sedan. It offers a great blend of performance (even in its initial phase), luxury feel, and practicality. If your priority is a classy, fun-to-drive sedan that feels premium every time you step in, the Slavia is a brilliant choice. I am thoroughly impressed with my initial ownership experience and look forward to many more kilometers!

I am using a Taigun 1L topline for last 2 years. Currently 19834km in odo. I have similar opinion as this owner. Long drives are excellent. Car can easily cruise in 110 -125 in highways , even in curves.. It can go beyond 135 km , but wind noises and engine noises become very loud. Straight brakings from high speeds, powerful precise overtakings , well controlled steering wheels . Only down side of 1L is low performance AC , plastic quality of cabin , and some braking noises in low speeds.
